Anyone seen a good movie lately?

In the last week I've seen:

Murderball -  Awesome.  Those dudes are badass.  Makes me feel like an ass for bitching about anything.

Happy Endings -  Not bad, not great.  Plot is kinda slow but interesting and Tom Arnold is the best actor on the planet.  Lisa Kudrow is pretty good too, even though she looks old.

The Interpreter -  Very good actually.  I wasn't too excited to watch this but I enjoyed it a lot.  The premise the she heard it it the first place is a little too coincidental, but it was well acted and they did a good job of throwing you off as to who the bad guy is.

The Exorcism of Emily Rose -  Loved it.  More courtroom drama type than I knew beforehand but it also had a lot of freaky original Exorcist tyoe shtein to balance it out.  And the chick who plays Emily was fantastic, as was Laura Linnry, who's plain but hot as hell for some reason.

Good week for movies.

I'm psyched about getting The Exorcism of Emily Rose from Netflix. Looks awesome.

I saw Alien vs. Predator the other night.  Wife went to bed early, and I didn't feel like firing up the playstation.  It wasn't great, but it was probably a little better than I expected it to be.  I mean, the movie is called Alien vs. Predator and it was a video game first...neither of those things should fire up anyone's expectations. 

Overall, it was solid background distraction while I read more of the Eagles Encyclopedia...but nothing worth going out of your way to rent/watch.

I agree.  I caught it on TV one morning on my day off a few months ago.  Nothing special, but not terrible like you'd expect it to be.  The bullshtein gets a little thick at the end when she gets the Alien head and tail, though.

Actually, Napoleon Dynomite is on in the background now.  I recall people saying great things about the movie...but based on what I've seen:  It sucks.

you can't have it on in the background, you have to watch it and pay attention.  there are so many great little things in that movie, you can't just half-watch it.  not the 1st time anyway.
