Anyone seen a good movie lately?

Anyone ever see Basic? I thought it was a pretty good flick, but a bit predictable in the end. The "climax" wasn't too much of a stunner, but watching the story unravel was really good. I didn't like that sometimes it was advertised as a "war genre" flim when it's really a thriller in a military setting. The General's Daughter was like that too. Another good film.

I didn't like Basic much. Not a big Travolta fan, and when you put everything together at the end it was just a big pile of nothing IMO.

I liked the Dunbar/Pike twist. Again nothing too shocking, but it was interesting. That coupled with all the Section 8 people showing up at the end makes you wonder how much of the story was real and how much was just telling "the story right". It's like the Usual Suspects (one of my favorite flicks) in that regard. It leaves you wondering how much of the story really happened like it was told with some twists and how much Kaiser Sosay made up on the spot. I like stories like that. The ones that make you wonder how much of what you just saw really occured.

The thing that was stupid was, when Travolta at the end said "you just gotta tell the story right" the girl automatically assumed he was the killer. Uhh... why? It's just a phrase.

Saw the new chappelle stand-up in san fran...pretty good

In the middle of Downfall...also pretty good so far

Yeah it was. I was pissed at my wife for using Netflix on it. Turned out to be pretty good. Shame I tossed her a beatin before I watched it. $:-\$

i saw "Buttefly Effect" on saturday night on cable. i was mildly surprised, it was pretty good.

Every farging person I know who saw that said they liked it. I thought it was a steaming pile of shtein. Freshly squozen.

Just watched Crash a few nights ago. Very good movie. I would recomend it.

I just got Black Hawk Down in the mail. Seen it before, but it's been a while. It remains an excellent movie.

Rounders is playing on encore a lot. It's a great movie. Edward Norton is such a great actor.
