"Hotel Rwanda" was very powerful.  Don Cheadle was superb.  I know others have said so, but I will too: See this movie.

Ong-Bak. No tricks, wires or anything. Just awesomeness. Linkage

ha!, an intern at my office gave me that dvd to watch the other day.  glad it is good, im gonna check it out this weekend.

Let me know what you think, MURP. Thought the acting, emotion and comedy was excellent too. As well as the obvious hyper bishi bashi.

decent flick for the stunts.  The story and some of the acting (particularly some of the other fighters) was a bit flat, but the stunts were nuts.   I read that guy trained 4 years just to do the movie.   :o

"Crash"

Very good movie...should get some Oscar nominations.  Plus, you get to see Jennifer Esposito's nipple.   :)

Saw Madagascar last night - very cute/funny movie from Dreamworks.  Short though...like 1hr 20 minutes short.  If you like the CGI animated movies, you'd enjoy this one.

If anyone is going to see Cinderella Man...please report what you thought of it. I'm curious.

Thanks.

Defo agree. Nick Nolte is superb too, IMHO.

I am also curious about it. Specifically I'm curious to see if it will make me hate Russell Crowe any more or less than I do right now.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Was that good? I was looking for a movie to go see last week on my birthday but all they had was half a dozen Star Wars showings, Crash, and some other crap I wasn't even remotely interested in. Crash did seem interesting but having heard zip about it I didn't want to drop the dough on a movie I might hate. Good cast though.

Its not a movie you go to to escape life for awhile...it IS life, which is one of the reasons why it was so good.  The characters are very well developed for the short time you know them and the acting is superb.  I highly recommend it.

Just bought acouple DVD's.  Blockbuster has buy 2 movies get one free, all previously viewed movies.  I got Adaptation, Return of the King and a movie called Sept8mber Tapes.

Sept8mber Tapes was a movie that had you by the balls the entire way through.  Your all going to have to see it for yourself.  Awesome.

I saw the Adam Sandler remake of The Longest Yard tonight. I saw it with a date who was 20 somethin', and had no idea that it was a remake. She really liked it. I hated it. Nelly and Michael Irvin were really set up to look great in it, but Sandler was really miscast and unbelieveable as a pro QB. Wait for the video release on this one. Sports fans will enjoy the cameos, but the story is a sad filler compared to the original. Rent that and save the $9.

"The Aviator" was surprisingly excellent (because I really hate big-time douchebag Leonardo DiCaprio), and considering it's almost 3 hours long, it doesn't even drag.  I can see why people thought he had at least a chance to take the Oscar from Jamie Foxx.

Just finished watching it and yes it was excellent.  :yay DiCaprio's a twit but he is a great actor.

4 different people I know saw it this weekend and all said it was great.

EDIT: My roomate just came back from seeing it and said it was 'fantastic'. He said at the end the audience gave it a standing ovation (Clapping at the end of a movie is a pet peeve of mine  :boo)

Recently saw BOOGEYMAN.

I love scary movies.

This is not one.

This movie sucked beyond suck. The storyline was lame, the acting sub-par.

I was waffling between wishing the boogeyman would come and get me, to put me out of my misery, and yelling "Jesus Christ! If you're so f'ing scared of EVERYTHING then turn on a Goddamn light!".

Don't waste your time, people.

I'll give it one star , but, that's only 'cause the guy in the movie is kinda hot.
Maybe the voices aren't real, but, they've got some pretty good ideas...
