Rented House of Flying Daggers last night.  I liked it better than Hero

Me too. Haven't seen Hidden Tiger yet, tho.

What! Thats a bloody shame! Hidden Tiger is the best modern king-fu flick out.  Followed closely by kill bills.  Go rent it today, for the queen I say!   :boom

Ugh, hated both.  I want to go see Kung Fu Hustle.  That looks much more like the old time Choppy Socky stuff, where the choreography actually meant something.  This philosophical shtein gets in the way - I don't want or need a plot!  I want to see asses getting kicked.
Anyone but Reid.

Loved Crouching Tiger, liked Hero, haven't seen House of Flying Daggers and can't farging wait for Kung Fu Hustle.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Crouching Tiger, Kill Bills (Actually I've hated anything Tarantino directed) and Hero for that matter.

Give me Drunken Master II, or anything with really bad dubbing from the 70s.  Plot?!  We don't need no stinking plot!
Anyone but Reid.

"MASTER OF THE FLYING GUILLOTINE " is my favorite martial arts flick of all time.

Best fight ever - Dragons Forever.  The final showdown between Jackie Chan and Bennie "The Jet" Urquidez is farging incredible.  Also starts Chow Yun Fat and Yuen Biao.  Highly recommended.
Anyone but Reid.

Kung Fu Hustle looks hilarious. If it's anywhere near as funny as Shaolin Soccer, it's gonna be great.
Crier of the week: Terrorists of all backgrounds. Tantrums are selfish acts by children; extortion and murder disguised as fervor for a cause are both selfish and just plain evil. "We're gonna blow up things and kill people until we get our way!" There's a convincing argument, huh?

here is a great asian cinema site for DVD's that are out.  Good reviews etc.

Sir Ian McKellen to star in Da Vinci Code

The casting till date on The Da Vinci Code hasn't proved entirely popular. But some latest news trickling out of director Ron Howard office was enough to bring back our interest in this project again.

Sir Ian McKellen will play Sir Teabing, a wealthy man who acts as a resource for Langdon even as he shows his own ambitions to uncover the Holy Grail. Sir Ian McKellen is best known as Gandalf the Grey, a character he potrayed in "The Lord of The Ring' series.

Christopher Eccleston, fresh from reviving Doctor Who in the UK is in negotiations to play the Opus Dei assassin, Silas.

Alfred Molina will play zealous Bishop Arigarosa, who's keenly interested in the sleuthing activities of Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks) and cryptographer Sophie Neveu (Audrey Tautou).

Also, the trustees of Rosslyn Chapel have agreed to allow filming there for the closing pages of the book.

In the Da Vinci Code, Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon receives an urgent late-night phone call: the elderly curator of the Louvre has been murdered inside the museum. Near the body, police have found a baffling cipher. Solving the enigmatic riddle, Langdon is stunned to discover it leads to a trail of clues hidden in the works of Da Vinci - clues visible for all to see, and yet ingeniously disguised by the painter. Langdon joins forces with a gifted French cryptologist, Sophie Neveu, and learns the late curator was involved in the Priory of Sion - an actual secret society. In a breathless race through Paris, London and beyond, Langdon and Neveu match wits with a faceless powerbroker who appears to work for Opus Dei - a clandestine, Vatican-sanctioned Catholic organization believed to have long plotted to seize the Priory's secret. Unless Langdon and Neveu can decipher the labyrinthine puzzle in time, the Priory's secret - and a stunning historical truth - will be lost forever.

This is rather old news, but I haven't seen it here.

For James Bond afficionados, British actor Daniel Craig is the new James Bond.

The new movie will actually take the title of the first Fleming Bond Novel, Casino Royale.

Yes...very funny.  I watched it about a year ago - a friend had a copy.  Had to do the subtitle thing, but it was very enjoyable ;D
