i've grown to appreciate it more since it got my kids, all under 10, listening to Led Zeppelin, just from that one scene

Finished Superman Returns...and it's official:  It sucked.

Saw Mission Impossible 3, though, and I was pleasantly surprised.  It was good enough that I could overlook Tom Cruise being the focal point.  The ending was a little on the swishy side, but other than that, it was extremely tolerable.  Much better than I thought it would be.

"Bridge to Terabithia" - Better than I'd thought, but a weird movie.  It's targeted at kids, but it makes some sappy adult films look like a barrel of laughs.  It's relatively well done, but I don't know what type of audience would really enjoy it.  Chicks?  3.5/5.

"Epic Movie" - After watching the above, we wanted something stupid.  We got it.  This movie sucked pretty damn hard, but at least we could laugh at it a couple of times.  Both female leads (Jayma Mays and Faune Chambers) are relatively hot, and there are a couple of other hot naked chicks.  That said, if we hadn't just watched a poignant emotional movie, this would have sucked REALLY hard.  It's really, really bad.  However, in a couple of rare places, it's so bad it's good.  Ok, not really.  0.9/5.

Watched Deja Vu last night.

it was ok. althought it would have been better if the ferry had been blown up regardless. especially since the entire time they talked about how they can't change what happens, they can only change how it happens.

meh

oops...did i just spoil that?

Thought 1408 was sufficiently creepy.

3.5/5

I just got back from seeing that and I agree it was creepy enough to get a 4/5 from me. I went in expecting the cliche horror flick and while it had some of that in it, I thought it was good. Cusack did well being that it mostly was a standalone performance.

There aren't enough good horror flicks out there. Although, and I cannot recall the name I think it was "JOSHUA", there was a preview for one that looked pretty farged up.

There also was a preview for a film about a sportswriter who gets an interview with a old boxer, played by Samuel L. that looked pretty good.

$49 for a movie isn't bad especially when you consider tickets are up to 10 bucks now.  Add in parking, snacks, drinks & dinner out before or after and $49 is a farging steal.
