Saw the Man from U.N.C.L.E with the kid on a whim, mostly because it was the only thing playing when we could go. I was expecting it to be terrible. It wasn't great by any means, but I liked the style and pace of it a lot more than I thought. I wouldn't run out to see it in theaters, but for Netflix, HBO or something, it would be a worth a watch.

Rounders has been on Starz a ton lately and I have to farging watch it every time.  i think it's in my top 5 favorite movies of all time.

it's perfect in every way except when he throws Famke out of the apartment, that was a rookie move.

I agree with all of those words. It's hard to find a non-poker-related flaw with the movie (there are two fairly ridiculous poker concepts, Johnny Chan being some sort of infallible god who couldn't possibly lose a single hand and KGB's absurd "tell"), but not boning Famke is borderline indefensible.

there is one other plot hole and that's the math at the end...

he's gets $10k from the professor
he doubles it right away against KGB so he has $20k
he puts his $20k up against KGB again and pulls it out (yay!) and he should have $40k

but at the end with all the payoffs he did and is left with $30k he walked out of KGB's with $60k.  the only thing i found online is that people theorize that KGB reloaded but that would be stupid for matt damon's character to let someone reload their chips in heads up no limit poker.

I thought he had 5k of his own and 10k from the professor. Giving him 30k early on. Doesn't he say "I can pay back KGB and I'm halfway to paying back the professor" or something after the first double-up?

Regardless the math still doesn't add up to the final numbers.

payback KGB = $15k + $5K to be halfway back from the professor.  the $10k he borrowed was the only money he had after he got farged up by the cops.

just got tickets tonight for m nights new johnson...trailers have looked really good but hes put garbage out since unbreakable....hopefully this is a comeback film for him

this new one has big buzz and is an indy film made for like 30 thousand bucks under mad secrecy....and its a true horror made thru the house of blum....not just weird for the sake of being weird like most of his stuff since unbreakable
