treme is perfectly nuanced and wonderfully subtle...its not the best or most exciting show ever but its great tv for smart people

it's a show about music and culture in New Orleans post Katrina, it's not thought provoking or even clever. But I see you and the lil guy categorizing yourself as the 'we get it' crowd. It's similar to when Iguodala said "people who know basketball know how good my game is".

theres nothing to get....at the same time this country is way to neanderthalic to appreciate something like treme....they are to busy getting all you can eat bread sticks at olive garden and going to see fast and furious part six

I knew Star Trek: Nemesis was bad before I watched it, even by Star Trek standards. It was fargin' bad. The sets were bad. The lighting was bad. The actors phoned it in, as well they should because the story was terrible. Highlights include:

  • Gene Roddenberry's wife not wanting to spend five minutes playing her character at the wedding of the character's daughter because I guess she had standards after all.
  • Will Wheaton not having standards and showing up for a five second paycheck.
  • Surprise, you have a brother you didn't know about, both played by the same actor. Not the other one you didn't know about and played by the same actor, this is a different one. And he's functionally retarded!
  • They introduced a new alien race who were enslaved by the antagonists to be their front line fighters. While they've never been mentioned or seen before, the crew is super eager to tell you all about them. No, they definitely couldn't have used one of the 80 billion races they'd already told you about because reasons.
  • The new alien race staged a coup, now they're in charge of their former masters. The new leader isn't a member of either race, though. Nope, he's the clone of Patrick Stewart, who he totally hates and wants to kill.
  • This guy's second in command can mind rape people for some reason. Well, don't worry about it, you can mind rape him back later.
  • Oh no, these new aliens and their cloned human boss have a new super weapon that they're going to use against just Earth. Don't worry, we'll have the guy playing multiple parts selflessly sacrifice is good character to save everyone and show his zesty new character how to be less retarded.

This movie was so bad that I'm still mad enough hours later to use formatting to tell you how awful it is, and I don't even like Star Trek.

The man. The myth. The legend.

BTW: During the second show there was an audience-wide gasp when Harrison's true identity was revealed.   Everyone at the first showing already knew it ahead of time.

I just watched a late night showing to a near empty theater (about 20 people in the audience)...and I was the only one that had any kind of reaction when he revealed his identity. I felt like a super nerd but I felt like the smartest guy in the room for a second and was pitying and laughing at the rest of the audience for not understanding the reference.

Honestly, I can sit and watch a two-hour movie of just ships hyper-jumping into space. It's like watching a 15-minute facial compilation. It's that awesome.

That video is funnier than the movie.

MDS

they made it pg13 because it was probably horrendous and they are trying to recoup as much money as possible by exposing it to as big as audience as possible
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

liberal arts - really easy and super enjoyable watch about a 35 year old seemingly falling for a 19 year old college student he meets while going back to his alma mater for the retirement of one of his professors...the script by josh radnor who also stars in it is outstanding and the performances perfectly subtle except for zac efron is terrible as a character that is forced way to much...elizabeth olson following up her incredible martha marcy may marlene performance is again great....i think i might be in love might her too

8/10
