The Avengers was excellent.   Solid A all around.  I was really surprised at how good Mark Ruffalo was as Banner.

PS: Downey is an acting God.

saw it Saturday and I agree.  i was originally disappointed that Norton didn't come along with Hulk to the movie but Ruffalo was a far better Banner and i enjoyed how they built up the Hulk as something everybody really feared.

the first hour was a little slow as they developed everything and the middle was a downer but they needed that to finish the movie, so I get it.  the end battle was farging ridiculous though, i can't believe how visually impressive it was.  it was free flowing, no awkward transitions from character to character.

i stayed until after the credits but i don't know who that character they revealed was

Other than the Walking Dead graphic novels I've never read a comic book in my life. My room mate said it was this guy.

I heard the same thing about another scene, but I stayed after the entire credits and I didn't see anything.

lol, you can always tell who the internet loser/fanboys are when the lights come up after the last credits and you see other people there.

going into the summer movie season what carried more hype with you nerds...dark knight or avengers...i dont mean what was each of your individual preference but on the overall superhero nerd landscape what are people in general more hyped about
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

probably Dark Knight because no one knew how Avengers would turn out.  other than iron man the lead up movies (Thor, Captain America, Hulk) weren't the greatest and people had no idea how the combination of all of them would work.  as it closer and people started seeing clips and trailers I think the hype jumped big time.

Dark Knight everyone knew the players in Bale and Nolan and their track record so there was more hype and less uncertainty

Putting Joss Whedon at the Avengers helm could have been a total catastrophe but it turned out to be a legit stroke of genius.

I loved the humor in the film and there was a lot of it from in your face to really subtle touches.

The Dark Knight is going to be excellent although I can already foresee the fanboy mewling about Anne Hathaway's Catwoman.

For some reason I think the Dark Knight is going to be a disapointment. Don't know if Bane was the right villian to use to finish with.

i have the same feeling.

something just feels off in the previews.  i think it's going to be a totally depressing movie the whole time and then i think batman dies at the end

I doubt they kill him off.

Maybe he'll wake up in a church with Commissioner Gordon, Maggie Gyllenhall, Kate Holmes, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman.

He'll wake up and find out he's Christopher Reeves
