Has anyone seen Contagion yet?  I'm thinking of seeing it tomorrow night.

I saw Outbreak...same thing

Watched Kick Ass last night.  It was like 1am, I couldn't fall asleep so I pulled up Netflix and it was the first "suggested" movie, so I watched it.  Knew nothing about it other than the brief description provided and expected it to suck something awful and help put me to sleep but I ended up really liking it.  Overall it was nothing spectacular but it was entertaining pretty much from start to finish and just a fun movie.  The little girl absolutely made the movie.  She was awesome and Nic Cage wasn't awful.

Yeah, the kid was really good in that.

Pearl Jam Twenty: great recap of their history, lots of music, and it ends with them playing "Alive" at the Spectrum 2 years ago....a show I was at

Megamind: another great Dreamworks movie but predictable about 20 minutes into it

Moneyball was farging outstanding - Pitt should get some Oscar consideration.

I thought Moneyball was good, not great.  Baseball elements were cool--the dramatic aspect of it not so much.  Book was more interesting.

Saw Contagion over the weekend.  Was impressed at how accurate the science was.  Not perfect, but pretty good.  Unlike Outbreak.

Had some great disparaging social commentary about ivory tower scientists.  Spot on.  My wife was howling, and I was embarrassed for the field.

Saw Drive last night...it was solid, not spectacular. Pretty gory, which I wasn't expecting. I thought it was about a race car driver, but there are approximately 10 min. tops of racing scenes.

Watched Win Win.  While a little predictable, it was a solid film.
I'm not from Philly but some say I'm blunt.

Travelled several times this month so got to see the following on United:

Water for Elephants - better than I expected

Thor - why?  Just horrible.  Looked like it took a week to film.

Something Borrowed - another predictable episode of Three's Company brought to the big screen.  "Gee, I wonder if he'll end up with the other girl at the end?"

Midnight In Paris - went in thinking . "Great, another chick flick" but was pleasantly surprised.  Not bad.
"Well where does Jack Lord live, or Don Ho?  That's got to be a nice neighborhood"  Jack Singer(Nicholas Cage) in Honeymoon in Vegas.

I hope you aren't paying the airline to watch that trash.  You should get an ipad, velcro it to the seat in front of you and watch porn.

On a related note, I was flying a couple months ago and was sitting next to this older lady on my flight and she was watching me play games and shtein on my ipad and wouldn't shut up about how "amazing the technology is these days" and how you can "fit so much information into something so tiny" blah blah blah.  So I decide to watch a movie and when I tap on the video icon it shows whatever you were last watching, which in my case apparently was porn.  So as soon as I hit the icon all you see is this chick with a couple of cocks slapping her in the face.

The old bag gasped and requested to be moved to a new seat.  Too bad, if she stuck around she could have watched The Expendables.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Had a free weekend of HBO this weekend and noticed them doing that.  Also, Cinemax now has a channel called Skin to the Max.  Ha!
