well, when I say hes the "real deal" i dont mean give him the max. I mean hes a heck of a ball player and should produce on a consistent basis. BUT, I still wouldnt do it until he shows consistency  of at least 2 years and major playing time under his belt--which should be the NBA formula

Looks like Indy will be the only road team to win a game 1....

reese125

A general consensus:

Who do you think will win be in the finals and win the NBA title? real quick why?

BigEd76

Detroit/San Antonio again.  They shouldn't even play these seasons or playoffs anymore....

reese125

yeah I hear ya...Im trying to dissect some of these games and I cant see one possible contender in a 7 game series vs those two teams. None of the playoff teams with the slight exception to Dallas and maybe Miami can give a challenge. The other playoff teams break down at the end of games and the defense just surrenders.

It sucks, Im really hoping there is an upset of some kind

phattymatty

I think Detroit is a shoe-in again but the Spurs are going to have a harder time.  Granted, it didn't look like that in their first game, but no way they keep that kind of pace up.  73 points in the first half?  That was ridiculous.  I think someone like Dallas or even Phoenix comes out of the West.

reese125

...with SA I saw a drop off of them this year as well. Duncans not the same with the injury and they have been giving up points. Parker does elevate his game big time in the playoff though..its pretty amazing what he does come this time of year.

Phoenix, although I love for excitement purposes,  I cant see happening because of the points they give up...way too many. Plus, Dallas and SA have pretty good perimeter defenders--so all those easy jump shots will be harder to come by for Phoenix. Next year is their year.

Kobe saves the Lakers twice today and they now lead 3-1 over the #2 seed Phoenix

They mugged Nash for that jump ball.
