Stephen Curry scored 51 points on Wednesday, with 25 of those coming in the first quarter, when he tied an NBA record with seven three-pointers. The only other player to make seven threes in the opening period of an NBA game was Brooklyn's Deron Williams in 2013. Curry has scored 25 or more points in a quarter three times this season, the highest total for any NBA player since Kobe Bryant had three 25-point quarters in the 2005-06 season.

Curry went to the free-throw line only three times in his 51-point effort, converting twice. That's the most points in a regular-season NBA game by a player who made two or fewer free throws. Allen Iverson scored 52 points with only two coming on free throws in a second-round playoff game against Toronto in 2001.
