Oh well, they are still undefeated in my book, and that's all that matters to me.

THat is the dumbest thing you've ever said.

They lost. Period.

Not to me, moving on.....

THIS SEASON IS OVER AND ANDY'S WORLD IS GRIDL

Offseason needs: 2 DEs, 1 DT, 1 OL, 2 LBs, 1 RB, 2 WRs, 1 TE, 1 KR.

The refs were giving Michigan generous spots all game, and after a couple minutes of Lloyd Carr arguing, they upped the game clock from :28 to :30.  There was :01 before the final, and ultimately pivotal, play of the game was run.

PSU shouldn't have let it get that close with the kickoff and drive.  The missed FG's were killer too.  They should have overcome the officiating.  But this is one game that the refs also made the difference by calling for the home team.

It's just a shame to lose one like this.  A blowout would have at least been numbing.

Not to mention Hart's fumble going uncalled and the phantom holding call negating a 15 yard run by Robinson on PSU's final drive. The spots were blatantly obvious, I can see a few inches here and there, but when they're getting a foot or so that needs to be addressed. Carr's a whiney bitch and I wouldn't be surprised if the refs awarded Michigan the extra :02 just so he'd shut up.

Sure, you're absolutely right.

However, if you were a PSU fan and not a PSU hater, you'd be whining more than any of us.  Period.

That was the worst refereeing I've seen in a football game in a long time.  All of the spots (I'll admit, for both sides) were +/- 2 yards.  There was one spot where the player was completely down and stopped moving a full yard short of the first down line.  The ref ran up the sideline, turned toward the center of the field where he should have, but then ran diagonally until he was 1 yard past the first down line.  Disgrace.

Then, this officiating crew lost all credibility when they listened to the bitching of the coach and put two seconds back on the clock.

Still, my perception of reality remains intact:

I think they have a solid chance to win the Big 10 and go to a BCS bowl.

Reality check:
This team cannot beat USC or Texas.
Michael Robinson is a running back who tries to throw the ball.

The missed field goals wouldn't have needed to be tried if PSU had a QB who could throw the ball.

Penn State would have been up by 2 or more scores at the end of the game if they had a QB who could throw the ball.

C
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

What's that supposed to mean?  They were obviously letting the clock runout...no matter who was running it.  The ref was clearly waving his arms for the clock to stop and it was being ignored.
....no he wasnt.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

SunMo

that was a tough loss, and I agree, the refs were terrible the whole game.  but that last play, i gotta blame Bradely, i think he should've blitzed and forced Henne's hand at something.
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Penn State dropped to #12.

I wonder if they'll move up in the rankings though. The top teams all won today I think.

PS...this comment was as dumb as the "I still think they won".

Derrick Williams breaks arm, gone for the season

Motherfarger!  :boom

Luckily they have a plethora of young receivers to pick up the slack. Not as nearly as talented as him, though. :(

I was wondering about that one as well.  I don't watch a lot of college ball but I can't remember any time when a ranked team lost to an unranked team and moved up in the polls.

He also was saying that they won, even though they lost.  :sly

Yeah I know.  But just as he was in denial about the game I'm trying to be in denial about reading something sofa king wee todd did.

AP ranking is surprisingly fair.  OSU mysteriously one spot ahead of PSU in coaches poll, though.

At this point, the team has to "just win, baby".  Still a loss that's tough to take.  At least all my Pittsburgh PSU buddies didn't get consoled by their NFL team.  Temple's 3 points against Miami are the bright spot in PA football!
