PSU whooped on an inferior team ....something they haven't been able to do the past few years.  But their suckiness will be exposed soon enough.   :)

Yes, I did watch the Michigan game. I suppose you either didnt know because you didnt watch the game, or you didnt include it because you hate Michigan, but their starting QB was injured. Their true freshman blue chipper (Henne) had 3 days to prepare for and start their game. He played well for his first game ever with little prep time. Miami Of Ohio's punt returner (the best in the nation) really destroyed Michigan's punt team and kept Miami's offense in good field position all day. Those 2 factors are what kept the game closer than it should have been until Michigan finally just decided to kick some ass.

Akrons defense was just god awful and PSU did what they needed to run em over. When their starting Cornerback couldnt cover Zach Mills on a pass from Michael Robinson, I knew they were gonna be hammered.

No, I did watch the Michigan game. But like you said, Henne is a "blue chipper" (from central PA iirc) and he did have good blocking all day. No question Miami was severely outmatched, but the game should have been closer score-wise. It'd be hard to say that the last two TD's for Michigan were anything but score-padding.

Don't underestimate the speed of Zack Mills. He runs a solid 4.65. :-D

Id also like to add on that Miami Of Ohio was playing their 2nd game of the season which helped them out.

Yes Henne is a blue chipper as is PSU's Morelli.  Im sure you wouldnt expect Morelli to play as well as Zach Mills in his first college game.

I don't think Zack Mills is very good, so I kind of would, actually.   :-D

Roll eyes all you want. Lawrence Maroney is the best running back in the Big Ten. MB III is the second-best. We brutalised a decent team in Toledo. 42 points in the first half, 63 at the end and gave them two late touchdowns. 704 yards of total offense, 415 on the ground, Cupito goes 10-of-12 for 279 yards (that's 27.9 ypc, btw). SKI-U-MAH.

Well, we have to go to Minnesota's house October 2, so we'll see soon enough.

Nice mention for PSU in one of the ESPN.com weekend wrap-up columns:

QuoteScoring The Lion's Share

Across the state line in Pennsylvania, Nittany Lions fans were having a great time enjoying their 48-10 rout of Akron. After averaging just 19 points per game last season, Penn State exploded for 21 in the first quarter and 41 in the first half against the Zips. The star of the show was QB Zack Mills, who ran for a TD, caught a TD pass and threw for two scores. In Joe Paterno's previous 38 years as Penn State head coach, only two players had ever logged a rushing TD, passing TD and receiving TD in the same season -- Eric McCoo in 2001 and Mike Archie in 1994.

McCoooooooooooooo!!   :paranoid

If you can really get excited about beating up on AKRON, you're setting yourself up for major disappointment. LOL.

Its like Skins fans thinking they are Super Bowl bound after beating up on teams in the preseason . :-D

Or is it like some people thinking a slow start to the Phillies season was no big deal? ;D

ZING!
