Im entertaining the idea of buying one. I have never done it. I have been inside a few just to check them out...they seem great and the freedom of traveling seems awesome...but again, I have no experience.

Someone said to start off with a smaller one...and not to spend more than 3500 to 5000 bucks just to try it out.

What do you all think? Is the one on the bottom a good starter...too much?

that thing rules! only thing i didn't see is AC. i would think its a little big for first timer, but hey more the merrier(orgy)! the other thing is do you have a space to park it at your home?

I'd get a pop-up and see if you like the whole experience before going out and getting something that big.

And you must paint it all green and white and put concrete field on it and we can all party in it at games. and by party i mean, gay butt sex

Does party have any other meaning?

I agree...Im not an outdoors type of guy...but more because I have not really tried it and I'm not a white male.

But the idea of having the freedom to go just about anywhere and not have to necessarily arrange for hotels and what not...seems pretty sweet.

I will go small...when the time comes...like a winnebego? As long as it has a shteinter and a heater...it should be all good.

I just can't see you in one  - but if you want to try it out why not plan a vacation and rent one http://www.1stchoicerv.com/Rentals/

You see a lot of rental RV's in the Rockies in the summer.

Good way to find out if you like the experience or not.

I've been told that RV = ruins vacations.  I can't imagine driving one of those heaps across the country.

Me either, but not driving and getting trashed in the back sounds like a fantastic way to travel

I have a 2004 Lance truck camper (tricked out) that has been used 4 days.  I also have a 2004 F-250 4 WD pickup custom built to carry the camper...plans changed ..ACK!  Anyway, once you get to where you want to go you drop the camper and rule in the pickup.  That WAS the plan :P
