It wouldn't have elevated them for shtein THIS year, which is the only reason a mid-season trade of any sort would make sense.

if you dont think another offensive weapon as good as chambers along with the defense they have showed wouldnt elevate them over teams like the skins green bay 49ers cardinals ect and put them on par with the giants then you must think they they are beyond god awful this year

a few more pts this year and they easily could be 4-1....it doesnt take much in the nfc to make a difference...the conference is laughably bad

id take chris chambers for a 2nd no doubt. id take chris chambers, bernard berrian and a receiver like Moss, Chad Johnson or Marvin Harrison to top it off. If your going to build an offense based on passing, get some damn receivers to do it. everyone saw what mcnabb can do once he got a guy like TO. Imagine if McNabb had Moss, Stallworth, Welker, Watson.

Eagles are sad at drafting WRs. They need to fire Dave Culley #1, #2 bring in a real GM not the psuedo-GM like Puppet Heckert and since they will be dumping tons of salary next year with the release of Kearse, Howard, and possibly McNabb there is no reason not to give Kolb a real #1 WR.

I agree with FF.  This team blows, and even though a slight elevation might get them in the playoffs in the NFC, even the SB.
Been there, done that.  I want a trophy for the Birds.  They have ZERO chance of that this year.  So farg it.  Play for a high draft pick and the immediate firing of Fat Ass.  He's far too farging stupid to win a SB, so get anyone else.
Anyone but Reid.

Geowhizzer

Stop hoping for Reid to get fired or quit.  It's not happening.

You do realize that he's not getting fired unless he's caught farging Christina Lurie, right? And even then, its not a guarantee. Lurie and Banner love him. For him to get canned it would probably take 2-3 straight up horrid seasons.

Your best best is to hope he resigns. And then be happy with Marty M., because that's who moves in, buddy.

Hope is all I got left.  If I can't hope he'll resign or be fired, I have to hope he dies.  Because he ain't winning this team a super bowl.  Of course, neither is Marty, but at this point I'm just vindictive.
Anyone but Reid.

yeah usually i notice they count "zero" as a second. if you let that zero second tick off then usually they call the delay of game.

that makes sense.....never thought of it that way but it has to be the answer...its happens way to often

Here's how it works: The back judge stares at the stadium play clock. When it reaches zero, he looks at the quarterback. If the ball hasn't been snapped yet, the flag comes out for delay of game.

There is no official "extra second" given; once the clock hits zero, a penalty can be legitimately called. [There is no rounding. A full second ticks before the clock reaches 39, and therefore a full 40 seconds have expired before it reaches 0.] However, the mechanics of the back judge seeing the clock, turning toward the quarterback, and deciding that the ball is not yet snapped takes a little bit of time. It's intentionally done this way in order to err on the side of the offense.

Delays of game are not reviewable, so if you get the ball out before the back judge notices, you're golden.
