That loss is on the defense, but not on the pass rush. Like Phreak said, Brees was getting rid of the ball too quickly in those 3-step drops to get pressure. The rest of the defense shtein the bed.

Yeah. You would think Andy and JJ knew that is what they were going to see. It was very methodical. I remember a big 3rd down conversion was a quick dump pass to Campbell of all people. The Saints always had a very makeable 3rd down conversion all game. The Eagles, it seems, were always in 3rd and long.

The Defense played horrible and it's fair to say that JJ was outmatched again by Payton.

Even when Brees went downfield, it seemed as though he had time. The Eagles didn't make the most out of those opportunities.

Damn. This game really was quite the crappy loss. Here's hoping they finish strong going into the bye, because the schedule looks pretty crappy afterwards.
