From ESPN insider:

QuoteLewis on the block?
<Feb. 11> According to the Baltimore Sun, associates and friends close to Lewis have said that he doesn't want to play in Baltimore for the 2006 season.

Ravens General manager Ozzie Newsome said the linebacker hasn't informed the team of any such intention, but did admit that Lewis had a recent meeting with team owner Steve Bisciotti in Florida, and said Lewis asked to be traded before the start of the 2005 season. The seven-time Pro Bowl performer actually went into a self-imposed isolation from the team last season after the Ravens declined to restructure his contract, which still has three years left.
League sources have said the Ravens were sending out "feelers" in a possible trade for Lewis, but they haven't gotten more than a second- round draft pick in exchange.

Jam31, care to shed some light on this?

Maybe its time to murder someone again, who knows.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Trade TO for Lewis.

Seriously.

Because it would be funny.

MDS

Did you really need to take up all that room just to say trading TO for Ray Ray would be funny?

No.

It was meant to simulate a dramatic pause.

Dummy.

Good for you and your simulations, but this is a message board, and there is no chance of making anything dramatic.

from PFT:

Quotewe're told that the taterskins previously have made a significant offer for Lewis -- and that the Ravens declined.
