As much as I thought Reid should have run the ball in that situation, I'm certainly not calling for him to be fired. However, I asked this question on the EMB last night and when I went to bed, I still hadn't recieved any replies:

What qualified HC and QB would you bring in here, THAT WOULD BE AVAILABLE IN THE OFFSEASON, THAT WOULD GUARANTEE THE EAGLES TO WIN THE NEXT SUPERBOWL?

That's what all of these "fire Reid and get rid of McNabb" fans want, don't they? They want to fire the two men who have helped restore some Eagles pride in the last few years. They want to win the Super Bowl NOW, but as I survey the NFL landscape, I don't see many coaches who would be fired this year or many assistant coaches, or many QBs that would be available to take this franchise and win the SUPER BOWL NEXT YEAR.

As the old saying goes--"be careful what you wish for, for you might get it".

I'd rather have Gruden right now than Reid. I know the Bucs haven't been all that since their Superbowl, but at least he won a Superbowl. I think Gruden is great at playcalling and I think he's the best in football at developing QBs. McNabb would be so amazing under Gruden.

I'll take Reid over anyone right now. Guys a stud. Anyone that can win a job because he has a huge notebook is fine by me.  farg Gruden, he coached the Bucs...farg him.

i think Andy is pretty good at putting together a gameplan during the week.  and if the game goes according to plan, he has a good pace and rythem to his calls.  but, when the defense does things he wasn't expecting, he is stopped in his tracks.  the calls come in late, the plays have no flow.  he isn't able to make the key in-game adjustments that are necessary.

Raging agreement boners.

I concur.

I love how McNabb was great before the interception and as soon as the play happpened, they boo'
ed him. What a bunch of backstabbers. Next question.

I was pissed at all the boos after McNabb went back out on the field.  It certainly sucked.  I wanted McMahon in too, but McNabb didn't need to be booed.  But hey, i don't know shtein.

I hardly ever boo players of my teams either, unless they really really strike a nerve, but it's all a way of expressing this town's drought of championships. Philly never likes their QBs. Philly would boo Peyton Manning too because he chokes in the playoffs. The only QB Philly wouldn't boo is Brady because he wins titles, and Brady would be a savior here. It's just a very tough town for QBs.

So, we're GUARANTEED to win a Super Bowl under Gruden? A man who took Dungy's team and won one for the Bucs. Since he's had his own boys in there, they have sucked. Gibbs has won a Super Bowl, want him? How about Barry Fargin' Switzer or George Frickin' Seifert?

The Eagles have had alot of key injuries, team chemistry was farged up by TO and all the selfish "We-went-to-the-superbowl-so-I-deserve-more-money" bullshtein.  blaming Reid and McNabb is ridiculous.  Reid should turn over the offense to his OC and be the head coach, he is the best in the league at doing that.

I felt from day one that Donovan should have had the surgery on his hernia and allowed a backup to try and get us to the playoffs.  McNabb would have been ready then and we might have still had a chance.  Now, its all about learning from this, preparing for the draft and restoring team chemistry.  Say Reid and McNabb should go just shows how quickly we forget the past.

At least we'll get a higher draft pick!
