Here's a better question...If the Eagles lose the next two, should they close up shop and send donovan for that much needed surgery?

Yes they should. Get Donovan healthy for a run next year. There's plenty of cap room to bring in a free agent that bolsters what ever ails the team next year.

HFA???  I would think more HFO.  Hell freezes over.   :-D

I love it that you are overlooking the team that took your ragtag bunch to the woodshed.

Boyzguru (Boyz with a z, eh? How street), thank you for pointing out that there are no such things as upsets or freak results in football.
That's what being a homer is all about.  You think the Cowboy game was a freak result.   ::) EVeryone else just saw one team get outplayed by the other.
And I guess you agree that going 8-0 down the stretch is possible, even though last week the team made a shift in philosophy running the ball and now has to learn how to run block with a brand new center?  :-D

Ah, I knew there'd be one Dallas fan who'd miss the point. I admit the Cowboys outplayed the Eagles, of course they did. And you guess wrong about me thinking 8-0 being possible. Based on how the team has played this season, that's ridiculous. The comment was actually a response to Dallas fans who think that just because you kicked our arses last time that it is automatically going to happen again. I think getting rid of TO will have a positive effect on the team, plus there is homefield advantage, factors Dallas fans don't want to factor. I'm pretty sure it will be closer than the last game and think there is at least a possibility of an Eagles win.
You make a vague comment about upsets and freak results, then gloat that someone would miss your eloquently stated point.
Whatever.  Losing TO.  Bad for this season.  Whenever you lose talent, you become weaker.  Maybe good for the long haul, but bad for this season.  For the team to start winning, they have to redefine themselves.  Can't be done at this stage of the season.  It's not like the line will all the sudden learn how to run block.  Running the table is unpossible.

AP

I'll settle for a win tonight to start with.

Well, qwert, the Cowboys won, but I don't think I called too bad a game. Still, your blanket statements at least made you seem like you knew what you were talking about. Do you work in sports radio by any chance? "Whenever you lose talent, you become weaker." "Can't be done at this stage of the season." "It's not like the line will all the sudden learn how to run block". So what happened for most of the game? We lost on two dumb calls by our coaching staff, allowing Terry Glenn in single coverage and and McNabb to be in position to throw that pick. Congrats on the win.

Let me get this straight.
You predicted the team would play inspired football with TO gone.  Check
You predicted playing in Philly would make it tougher for Dallas.  Check
You predicted it would be a close game.  Check
Really went out on a limb with your predictions.  And you think my statements are blanket.
I'm not here to gloat.  I could give a shtein about the cowboys.
I'll admit I didn't think the Eagles would run as well as they did with Jackson in the lineup.  And I didn't think Reid would run the ball over 30 times.
D-line played better than I thought they would as well.

:-D It's funny how you think those predictions are really obvious now when you blew them out of the water before the game.

Reading comprehension is teh tough, Genius.
1) I never said they wouldn't play inspired, just that they were not as good with TO off the field.  Still believe that.
2) Pkaying at home makes it tougher for the road team.  Hadn't heard that.
3) I never said it wasn't going to be a close game.  Just that they would not run the ball well, which I already mentioned in the other post.

I haven't been a fan pf the playcalling this year at all, but you can't blame that pick on anyone but Donovan and his bleeding vagina.

Qwert, you said they couldn't run block and couldn't redefine themselves. I never said they couldn't, if you want to play that game. Your implication was that as the Eagles got their arses kicked in Dallas, didn't have TO and had a new center, they'd get their arses kicked again.
