So fans question Reid again? (yeah, TO related)

I root for the jersey, but I also believe in Reid and most of the players.

Even if I hate a guy on another team and he's traded or signs here - I cheer for him. If I dislike a guy on the current roster, I still cheer for him. It's a team effort and they need contributions from everyone.

As for TO, I think he's a stone-cold nutcase. But everyone knew what kind of guy he was and 99% of the Birds fans wanted him. I've been a TO fan since he shat on the star. I knew he was a loose cannon and still wanted him here. Everyone wanted a stud WR and even some wanted some personality -- well we got it.

I'm still a fan of TO's. I thinks he's dumber than shtein, but the guy is a phenominal WR. And everyone who says they'd rather lose without him than win him is either brain dead or not a fan.
Eff principle. I want a SB win.

I'd rather the Eagles win withOUT him than win with him.

I root for the team and since TO is unfortunately still on the team, I will root for him to do well. I still hope he dies though.

First and foremost I'm a team fan. Period. Have been for many years. Having lived through Tose and the almost midnight-move-Arizona-to-pay-off gambling-debts escapade, Randall, (remember the Dallas playoff game after Peete went down?) Reggie and the God tour, Ricky for-who-for-what, 2 no.1's for Antone and a coach named Marion, what's a little T.O.?

Reid is flat out the best coach the Eagles have seen, (at least in the modern era, I can't really speak to pre 1960's) and while we all make mistakes, the correct choices he and the FO have made far outweigh the bad ones.

Sheese, we have got arguably the most talented football team this town has ever had. From my distance its hard to see why anyone would jump ship just because of this new chapter in team history. TO is one and done this year - if he can help get us the Lombardi, great. If he slips one bit, AR will bounce him. Either way my cheers remain the same.
Endless regression to the mean

He claims he stopped rooting for the Eagles fully back in the Franklin Field days or some such, so I think he's got deeper issues with the team. It didn't take much concerning the TO saga to push him over the edge I think.

He's not a fan, obviously. For the past 35 years he stopped rooting for them. Who the farg cares what he thinks.  ::)

Certainly I don't. I avoid football talk when I'm visiting. He's a nice guy outside of that fatal flaw. I think he has some buddies who really influence him, and they have the full on irrational negadelphia thing going against the Eagles. What makes it more irrational is that he's a die hard Phillies fan. Someone explain that one to me. Of the two organizations which one do you feel more let down by now a days?

I'm in no way insinuating this about him but I encountered quite few fans from that era who dislike the team & state of the NFL due to racial makeup of the teams.

Anyone else experienced that?

Phanatic

Yes I have experianced that from the age group actually. I don't know if that is the case here though. I don't think my dear old Ma would stand for that type of thing, but you never know what is at the root of it.

a superbowl win with TO would be less satisfying for me...especially if he were a big part of the actual game...ie caught the game winning touchdown...

I hope he does catch the winning TD in the Superbowl after having a great season that leads this team to a Superbowl win, which I hope and pray will happen. Then, Ried will look like a genious and all the press, and a few fans, can all eat shtein and die.

Drunkmasterflex

I am not sure how I feel about the situation, would it be great to win without him absolutely.  Would I take a win with him no doubt.  I've said it before I would sell my soul to Randy Moss for a SB title.

i think part of the reason some ppl might be even entertaining the thought of winning without TO being preferred is cause no matter what happens after this upcoming season, considering we win it all, TO will claim it was his doing more so than the teams. not that i care for that crap...as long as they win. TO is arguably the best WR in the game but this was my #1 fear b4 we acquired him last season. he fooled the crap out of me last season but "if it looks like a rat...."

anyway i dont care either way cause i think we can always get it done but i know we have a better chance with him. it wasnt just the talent he brought but this swagger and attitude.

And he'd pawn it off to go by some cigaweed.
