Per Spudz:

QuoteThe front four, so dominating for three games (all wins) and then again in the second half in the comeback effort at Detroit, was silenced by Washington's offensive line on Sunday. The Eagles gave up 230 rushing yards to a team that had averaged 84 yards per game on the ground through five games. Cousins was hardly touched as he threw two touchdown passes. The Eagles didn't come close to getting home with a four-man pass rush against Washington's five-man, and at times six-man, blocking scheme.

What is happening is that offensive lines are doubling Cox and end Brandon Graham, and the rest of line is not making them pay. Bennie Logan made one big play with a tackle for a loss, but then he left the game with a groin injury and did not return. That's concerning. Connor Barwin battled All-Pro left tackle Trent Williams and had four tackles. Barwin has not gotten to the quarterback for a sack since the Cleveland game.

Behind the starters, the Eagles are getting some good push from Beau Allen. Rookie Destiny Vaeao has had some flashes. Vinny Curry has been really quiet and Marcus Smith has made very little impact. Options? Steven Means has been inactive the last two weeks after playing a total of 13 snaps with one tackle in the opening three games.

the running attack of Washington was the last of my concerns going into Sunday.  Was more concerned with the secondary and Kendricks.  Oh, they had their share in this but allowing 230 rushing yards is just shocking.  It was a fitting end as I think Todd pointed out Hicks had a horrible angle on Jones run allowing the huge gain and the first down to seal it for Racists.  He was in position to make the stop but just a bad play that was the icing on the cake of the shtein show they put on yesterday.

QB Eagles

Marcus Smith making very little impact. Shocking.

Sgt PSN

Marcus Smith actually contributed to 50% of the scoring, which is really farging depressing.
