Considering that he played alongside Star Lotulelei, it is easy to understand why Kruger hasn't received more attention. Furthermore, he's often been cast off as the younger brother of former Baltimore Raven and new Cleveland Browns' outside linebacker Paul Kruger. A passionate player who possesses a very intriguing skill-set of powerful long arms (34 3/8), surprising get-off and good overall athleticism, Joe, like his older brother, could surprise at the next level.

Strengths: Tall, long body type with filled-out frame and good bulk throughout. Good natural strength with the hand and arm use to shed blocks. Closes in a flash like a bull seeing red. Quick feet and smooth movements in any direction. Good eye use and awareness to recognize and anticipate the action. Versatile skill-set to line up as an end in a 3-4 or 4-3. Strong bloodlines, work ethic and football character. Plays with intensity and top-shelf effort.

Weaknesses: Plays too tall and struggles with leverage, allowing his pads to rise off the snap. Lets blockers into his body and needs to protect his frame better. Relies on his natural ability as a pass rusher and needs to learn how to better use rush technique. Average career production and flashed more than consistently dominated.

Joe watched the draft at his family's home along with Paul and his other older brother, Dave.

"I've just been chilling with the family," he said. "I'm excited to get out there and start training. I'm excited to be an Eagle."

Utah coach Kyle Whittingham said Kruger would be a good fit with Eagles coach Chip Kelly, knowing his personality.
