Kelce is a "Mudd guy" but is basically a new version of Hank Fraley. Smart player, makes the right assignments, plays the right way... but he's not exactly a physical specimen. Drop off could be pretty big or could be barely noticeable, depending on a lot of factors.

Lawlor wrote a column comparing Kelce, Vallos and Reynolds, I think near the end of preseason. The review was gave a fairly positive for picture for a guy with no real experience or college pedigree. He is a lot bigger than Kelce and Vallos but at least Vallos has started a handful of games in the NFL, though he's been more of a guard. As FF said Kelce is athletic and a good fit but get pushed around too much.

Lets talk about how Vick slammed RayRay's bitch ass to the ground, and he disappeared after that.

OK. It was funny as hell. Good point about Lewis not doing much after that and makes me wonder if he got a little concussed because his head hit the turf pretty hard.

in all the bitching about the refs by the ravens they fail to bring up how Celek got hit in the chin with the crown of the ravens' helmet and there was no call

I don't hear them bitching about the non-call for a late hit by Ngata on Vick, on the play just before Reed got called for smacking Vick in the head.   It was such a bad miss that when the flag first came out for the Reed play, I was expecting it was an attempt by the overwhelmed refs to make up for the missed call.  But the replay showed instead that the flag was legit, which was actually good because the last thing we need is refs giving overt make-up penalties.

The NFL needs to put the pros back on the field.

ok so i just watched the game again from the time dallas reynolds entered....and only focused in on him

he was on the field for 33 snaps and they break down like this:

very good - 5
good - 5
solid - 13
bad - 6
no impact - 4

he was really good in pass protect and often awkward at best and clueless at worst in the run game...when hes in the trenches hes solid but when he gets out in space particularly to the second level he seems lost...not a suprise to anyone but they will miss kelces athleticism...you can also tell how little faith the eagles have in the fireman....i counted at least a half dozen times dallas immediately moved over to help watkins...overall because it was against a NT heavy team and a good one at that plus the fact that he he had to come in halfway thru the game id give his performance a solid B

a few of his best and worst plays

best

1. first play after kelce got hurt he drove terrence cody three or four yards down field

2. play 7 he slid over and helped out the fireman and was still able to come off that block and pick up a blitzing backer - this was the only time i saw him block anyone that wasnt a NT

3. on the 3rd 2 conversion to celek during the final drive dallas did a tremendous job in pass protect

worst

1. on his 3rd or fourth play he was moved into the backfield on a sweep that disrupted shadys chosen path - to be fair the play was going nowhere anyway but dallas didnt know this

2. few plays later he got destroyed in pass protect by kemo

3. there was a particular run play to shady that im almost certain dallas thought was a screen as he chipped his man then went second level...the error didnt blow up the play or anything it was more funny to watch...chalk this up to lack of starting experience
