By the way, "Dancing with the Stars" has been in the top 10 consistently.

I've never seen a more glaring example of why the lion's share of people in this country should be rounded up and tossed into gas chambers.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

i watched about 15-20 minutes of jim norton's hbo special last night and it was awful.  does it get any better?  i didn't laugh once.  maybe smiled once or twice.

somewhat...I'm not a huge fan of his but he has some good stuff. I saw him open for Dave Attell at the Borgata a few years back and that show was 20x funnier than his HBO special.

phillies will be under 500 this year...book it

the few times i heard him on the radio i thought he was funny.  it's like he was trying too hard in the hbo special to be extra offensive.  but like i said, i only lasted about 15 min, so it might have gotten better.

A few laughs but overall nothing great. He'd hit on a routine then bore you to death a minute later. To be honest I can't even remember his act which means it was forgettable. He was great at the Borgata a few years back.

SunMo

i love Norton...but i thought an hour was too long for him

in general, i think he's better at improv, i.e. on the radio, Tough Crowd, stuff like that over his actual stand up act.

i laughed at times during his hour special...but his One Night Stand, 30 minute special was better, IMO
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

QuoteInqlings | Kidd Chris will return, enriched
By Michael Klein

Inquirer Columnist

By the time Kidd Chris and his agent are finished with WYSP (94.1), he probably will be Kidd Chri$.
Chris - lone remaining air personality from WYSP's former talk format - was pulled from his afternoon slot yesterday for his own preservation. Station general manager David Yadgaroff said too many callers wanted to discuss the upheaval at WYSP, including Tuesday's dumping of the Opie & Anthony morning show. It was having an impact on Chris' show, Yadgaroff said, adding that he would return. He would not say where or when.

I hear that timing hinges on contract negotiations, as Chris and agent Robert Eatman are seeking a sizable raise - into the mid six figures - and additional resources befitting a morning show. Although Chris could return Monday, WYSP is looking toward the week after.

Also yesterday, Opie (Gregg Hughes) said on the O&A show on XM Satellite Radio that he'd work free on any Philadelphia station: "I want to take down 'YSP and I want to take out Preston & Steve" on WMMR (93.3). No takers yet.
:-D  Opie is going to go on a shooting rampage

QuoteDan Gross | 'Opie': I'll radio for free

GREGG "OPIE" HUGHES told us on-air yesterday that he'd work for a Philly radio station for free.
Opie and Anthony Cumia were fired Tuesday from their morning slot on 94 WYSP but are heard in other cities and on XM Satellite Radio. The show called us to appear on-air after reading our column yesterday that Kidd Chris' last afternoon show was Tuesday and that, though the station hasn't said so, he'll soon move to mornings in O&A's old slot.

"My salary is free," Opie pledged on-air to any Philly station who will sign the jocks. Anthony said he wants $10 per year.

Opie said that after reading our Sept. 20 column that 'YSP might dump O&A to move Chris to mornings, he called CBS Radio execs and never heard back. He later began calling 'YSP program director John Cook a "wussy boy" on-air, which he thinks sped up the firing process. Cook did not return our e-mail yesterday.

Opie, by the way, is newly engaged to a Philly girl named Lynsi, whom he's dated for two years.
"For all the civic slurs, for all the unsavory things said of the Philadelphia fans, also say this: They could teach loyalty to a dog. Their capacity for pain is without limit." -Bill Lyons

E-Lo went on the show today and totally blew apart the Arbitron ratings that were published.

I like Kidd Chris...I'm never awake that early in the morning though so now I'll never hear his show :boo

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds
