The Vet had a few thousand obstructed view seats that rarely sold.

True but those seats didn't count in blackout situations.

I do remember the playoff game against the Rams in 1989 that had a lot of empty seats in it, it was a New Years Eve game with bad weather. I dont think tickets went unsold, but there were a lot of no shows.

Worst game weatherwise I've ever attended.  It was about 36 degrees and it rained buckets the entire game.  I drove a Jeep back then and the thing leaked like a sieve.  The rain was so bad the entire thing was soaked on the inside.

What a miserable experience that day was.

BTW: Attendance that day was... 65,479.

Nope.  They were exempt from the blackout rule.  Hell, even when the Vet was packed to the rafters there would still be scattered empty seats down there.    They were literally on the field and the only view you had was of the jumbotron.

It is different with the Eagles, even when they stink there is still a lot of fan support as far as attendance goes.

this couldnt be farther from the truth...as others have said it doesnt mean they dont have great or even the best fans but they stay away in droves when the team stinks...you cant imagine how empty the vet was for most of the 90's...

What are you talking about?  All I am saying is it may not be a packed house, but compare it to most teams when they stink and there are a lot of people there.  As far as I remember, the last that the stadium was really "empty" was in '98.  Whatever it is pointless to argue with you, you're always right.
