I'm somewhat surprised Buckhalter got a vote for Comeback Player of the Year. He only rushed for about 350 yards and had a little bit over 100 touches this season (83 rush, 24 pass). I guess that lone voter just thought it was amazing enough that he got on the field considering the surgeries he had on his knee. Plus Buck has been seeing more of the field during the 5 game win streak.

Geez. I thought Mangini would get more votes than that. His team was equally as horrid and everyone thought they would only have 4 wins max this season.

The News Orleans factor weighed a lot into the voting, I assume.

Yeah... I thought Mangini would be much closer than 44-3.

Mangini has a lot less to work with and has worked in the much tougher AFC.  Payton should have won, but damn... that was a landslide.
