ebay question

i put up an auction on ebay...and i didnt include a buy it now optiopn

after it posted someone emailed me and offered me more than i ever thought i could get...so i sold him the item

however the auction is still up and running...is there a way to just straight up cancel the auction without getting black balled on ebay...or are there any other ways out of this

I dont know the answer to that but my first reaction is two fold:  Why cant this person just make their bid and end up winning it after the auction is over?   The other part is: if there is one person willing to pay you a lot more than you thought you would get, what makes you think there isnt someone else out there willing to pay more than that?  why the hurry to sell?

To answer your question, look up 'cancel auction' on ebay's help page.  That will direct you to a link to cancel the auction, and cancel all current bids.  You can list a reason such as item no longer for sale, broken, stolen, etc.

No black-balling will come from this.

you can end an auction early. i dont know exactly where, but probably under sellers tools.

i dont know the guy from adam...hes a ticket broker...i cant see him wanting to follow an auction for me just so i dont get screwed...what i may end up doing as a last resort is find someone i do know to make a last second bid and 'win' the auction...id like to avoid that tho as i will have to pay ebay fees for the auction...a % of the winning bid

i dont know that the final bid wont be higher than what he offered...but what he offered was more than double what i wanted/expected to get...so its like 'a birds in the hand..." situation...im scared that if i wait till the auction is over that the ticket broker is in the meantime going to have found all the tickets he needed and be like sorry dook...or hell offer half what hes offering now
