I like this thread.  They sound worse than Skins fans.  I tried reasoning with the douche bags but there is no reasoning with them.

Congratulations to all the high NFL officials, you did it. We're 0-3, your pitting us against the superbowl contestants and our toughest rival has set us at 0-3, you happy now? Did you accomplish your task of making sure we open up wth losses? Well big news, nobody cares! Randy Moss is still the number one receiver, he isn't upset or leaving like you probably expected him to, and we are certainly ready to beat our next opponents on the list. Our morale isn't very low, everyone is still in good spirits, and the team isn't falling apart. Thanks for accomplishing your task of trying to make us lose early, unfortunately we should win most of our next games, 11-5 isn't a very long shot if we play to our potential.

Now they are bitching about McNabb's spike to stop the clock for the game winning field goal.  What's their beef you say?  It should have been ruled a fumble.       

Did you see McNabb's reaction to that spike? I think he thought it might be a fumble, too, he seemed to start to run after it as soon as he threw it, like it slipped out of his hand. It looked fine to me though.

I did but didn't think anything of it at the time because I never heard any comments on it by the announcers or anyone during the postgame show.  This article was the first time I've heard about it. 

But thinking back to it, I would say if anything, it could have been ruled intentional grounding rather then a fumble.  His arm did go forward and even though he didn't spike it straight down in front of him, the ball did travel forward, not laterally prior to hitting the ground.  In that case, the clock stops and 10 seconds are run off for an offensive penalty in the last 2 minutes with no timeouts.  That means there's about 4 or 5 seconds left on the game clock.  The ball is placed at the spot of the foul which backs Akers up maybe 1 or 2 yards and he proceeds to kick the ball just off of the left upright but still through.  2 seconds left on the clock, game still over.   

But regardless of whether or not it was a fumble or whatever, I just find it amusing that the Raiders fans and media are looking for every possible excuse for why they lost the game. 

Blame the refs, blame the league, blame the mascots, blame the weather, blame Canada.  Try blaming the players for not making plays.  It's pathetic.
