Defense doesn't get a pass, Niners were basically Purdy and McCaffery. Letting Demarcus Robinson, Juszczyk, Jennings, Tonges rape their ass was inecxusable. Lot of guys looked lost on those big plays, a lot of guys.

Not for nothing but Jake Eliott cost them again with his XP miss. Not why the offense looked like shtein or the defense cleanup too many points or a host of other failures, but if he makes that kick, the Bords can at least have a shot to tie it in the end.
Irony doesn't escape me about possibly relying on a kicker who can't make an XP to to make a field goal at the end either.

I watch them...also listen to a lot of breakdowns with Acho, Baldy, Avant and a few others (sometimes Gruden). Their routes suck and make no sense
Let's do a quick recap:
2022 OC Steichen - Hurts is league mvp until he gets injured and makes a sb
2023 - Brian Johnson - the offense sucked they got bounced in the first round
2024 Moore OC - SB champs SB mvp
2025 Patullo - offense sucks again they get bounced in the first round
Seems to be a pattern
both things can be true
there is no real realistic path to a qb improvement this offseason..the draft sucks and it's not like josh allen is gonna be available
next year...much stronger draft (on paper right now) and joe burrow wanting out of cinci is a much more realistic scenario should their incoming season be another disaster. so id expect howie to asset up the next few months, down to trading AJ or flipping the 1 for a 2027 1.
