Title: Rashaad Penny, Philadelphia Eagle
Post by: PhillyPhreak54 on March 14, 2023, 03:20:44 PM
Interesting.

He can't stay healthy but when and if he does...he can scoot.

When healthy he's damn good...problem is he's never healthy. Maybe better o line and change of scenery. Hopefully it's a cheap prove it deal.

I assume it's a bargain basement deal, with the upside of being the head of a RB committee and a downside of being a camp body. Seems like the kind of deal the Eagles should be making. Bye Miles.

Don't think Penny needs a change of scenery, just a change of health. Coming off a broken leg you don't expect to get 17 games of quality out of him.

Even if he gets injured this is still a steal

The Philadelphia Eagles have added a running back with upside to the backfield.

Philly has agreed to terms with running back Rashaad Penny on a one-year deal with a $1.35 million base salary, $600,000 guaranteed and a max value of $2.1 million, NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported, per a source informed of the pact

Huge upside and yeah if he gets hurt again then it's not like they have a lot invested in him

I feel like Mostert is the older smaller equally injury prone version of Penny, and the Dolphins just gave Mostert way more than that. Teams must have been scared off not just by the injury history but specifically the recovery from last year's season ender.
