Wild Card Weekend
San Francisco (-10) vs Seattle (o/u 43)
Minnesota (-3) vs New York Giants (o/u 47.5)
Tampa Bay (+3) vs Dallas (o/u 44.5)
Buffalo (-10.5) vs Miami (o/u 45)
Cincinnati (-5.5) vs (o/u 44)
Jacksonville (+2.5) vs Los Angeles Chargers (o/u 47)
Notable QB issues with Miami and Baltimore. Skylar Thompson likely to start for Miami assuming Tua is not cleared and Teddy B's pinkie isn't healed enough. If Lamar doesn't go then Huntley starts there.
Should be a big radioactive danger sign next to the Chargers favored across the country in a playoff game.
No doubt.
I expect Jacksonville to win that game
Seattle at San Fran on Saturday at 430pm ET on FOX
Los Angeles at Jacksonville on Saturday at 815pm ET on NBC
Miami at Buffalo on Sunday at 1pm ET on CBS
New York at Minnesota on Sunday at 430pm ET on FOX
Baltimore at Cincinnati on Sunday at 815pm ET on NBC
Dallas at Tampa Bay on Monday at 815pm ET on ESPN
zealot al is doing that jax/lac playoff game. al in duval county! lets do it. i wonder how bitter hes going to be.
i feel like they went jax/lac over sf/sea because of the qbs. 2 bigger markets in the nfc but they want to showcase herbert and lawrence. sunday was simple, cbs gets its top game, fox with ny market in the prime 430 slot and nbc gets the remaining game.
but the real shock is mnf getting the best game of the week. they do not get this without bringing over joe and troy. i feel like thats exactly why they got it - this is the last game perhaps of bradys career and they want the big boys on it. if youre wondering why espn sold out so much to the nfl and why they paid joe and troy all that money, its because doing so would give them these kinds of games. welcome to trillion dollar circle jerks.
Also if Minny and SF win then the Eagles will face Dallas or Tampa with them being on short rest and locks the Birds into a Sunday slot
Is dallas really monday nite?

yup. if seattle or the giants win, its saturday - id guess 430 because the afc games will have more marquee qb matchups
SF/SEA opens Niners -10 and the total is 43

No doubt.
I expect Jacksonville to win that game
Not sure if I go that far but it's definitely the "degenerates only" matchup of the week. Stupid shtein is guaranteed to happen and Vegas will make a mint off whatever it is.
Everyone understands that the Vikings are extreme frauds and I expect that line to move as a result. At home I like the Vikings to pull it out of their ass like they did last time.
Dallas is 10x better than Tampa, but Brady is possibly some kind of football demon, and McCarthy is whatever the opposite of that is. I wouldn't be feeling comfortable if it was the Eagles going to Tampa.
Otherwise I think the favorites handle business easily.
I don't think Brady is a demon so much as it's Gisele's witchcraft. If she does still try to help him, it's just because she's doing it for the kids.
For only the fourth time in NFL history two teams with negative point differentials will have off in the playoffs
Vikings -3
Giants -6
Tua is out and Lamar is likely out
Thanks for coming out Dolphins and Ravens
my leans for this weekend:
SF, LAC, BUF, MIN, CIN, TB
i feel least confident about the first game. minny/nyg man i dont know, i kind of bank on jefferson here since hes the best player on the field but its a huge coaching advantage to the giants. dallas is so much better than tampa but this feels like a classic cowboys shoot themselves in the dick, mccarthy does something stupid, some terrible dak passes and brady pulls it out of ass
If Miami keeps it close let alone wins it'll be a miracle. Longest shot of the weekend by far.
Baltimore is the second least to win. They have a smidge of a chance because of their defense. If they pull it out it's because Burrow has a bunch of turnovers. And Justin Tucker kicks 6-7 FGs.
Jacksonville is a sexy pick. I saw a stat where the Chargers are the team who shows the most mixed looks defensively and Lawrence only has like a 32 QB rating against defenses that move around a lot. Makes sense because he's young. Staley idiotically played Mike Williams and he's now out. This should be a close and fun game. I'm pulling for the Jags.
Minny and the Giants are most evenly matched of the games. Almost equal negative point differentials. Both have QBs who like to fiddle farg around with the football. Havas' homie Cuzzo would have to play well on a big stage. I think this game plays out like the previous one; something like 21-19.
Weather in Santa Clara is supposed to be nasty. That's the equalizer for Seattle. And does Purdy finally show some warts? If Seattle can unleash Kenneth Walker that could give them a chance. Of all the big dogs this weekend they're the likeliest to pull off the upset. It would be nice to see the Niners get knocked out early.
Dallas' defense has lost some of its fastball in the second half. Parsons is worn down a bit from being an undersized pass rusher. Their LCB situation is ripe for a Mike Evans and Chris Godwin roast session. I hope they play like shtein and Dak continues his pick fest.
So much for the sloppy weather. Sun is out in Santa Clara
Seattle is hanging tough but San Fran is moving the ball way too easily.
13-7 Niners
Seattle takes the lead! Shot to DK is complete for about a 50yd TD
Much more entertaining than i was expecting.
You'd love to see Seattle shock them here.
shanahan vs. gannon is unfair
So much for that.
Seattle and Geno have folded.
17-16 to 38-17
That stupid fumble inside the Niners 30 sealed it
Let's go Doug!
Lawrence oof
Come on
I'm at a bar. Is Doug yelling to the ref about the missed roughing on Lawrence?
Chargers defense is on top of Lawrence. Not good
Gotta keep it close. Maybe, hopefully, Herbert is due for a turnover
Third pick by that clown in the 1Q.
And the refs have been shtein.
Gonna guess I lose my bets.
Thanks, Trev.

I don't think I'll ever call a Philadelphia sports team cursed again. You stay classy San Diego.
Sorry, but they will always be the San Diego chargers to me. This whole Los Angeles thing is a complete crock of shtein.
Ok Miami I see ya!
Allen with two picks.
17-9 right now and he threw a pick. Miami in good position likely to make it 17-12
Forget 17-12...
It's 17-15 and Miami will go for two to tie it!
what is with these teams and utter self destruction
jags in 1H, chargers in 2H and now buffalo in 2Q. bills should still win it eventually but they are just crumbling. something to keep in mind against cinci
Holy shtein the destruction continues!
Allen loose with the ball again! Fumble and scoop and score!
Fins up 24-20!
the dolphins are doing nothing...buffalo just handing them this shtein
Bills are beatable. And it's solely because of Allen's carelessness with the ball
The fact Miami is only down 3 and it's a 34-31 game is a miracle
Magic carpet ride is over for Miami. Thompson missed Hill wide open on 4th down.
Next up...which Cuzzo shows up?
Miami 10 second huddles and slow snap count isn't a recipe for success
That is some bullshtein there by the officials. He didn't get that first down.
Vikes March it down to score
And the Giants answer
Defense optional
I seem to find myself rooting for the Giants in this game. It's not that I think either team is really a threat to do much in the next round, it's more that I think nothing good should ever happen to the Vikings.
The Vikings defense is appalling
giants/eagles should be at 8 with jags/chiefs at 430
but man its tight. great qb matchup and the league loves those. depends on what happens with cinci
Giants are working the Vikes over.
You'd think they'd have someone spying Jones
Two big missed calls already
False start on the long Giants TD
OPI on that completion
Why can't officials get it right
it was really tight on being false start...just because homeboy complained dont mean it is. the OPI i didnt notice but they never call that anyway
The good ol 19 play FG drive
I'd prefer the Giants lose today
Need a TD here Minny
Btw I think they run on every first down and it's stupid
The Vikings defense is so bad.
And I'm as bad as they are for placing a real money bet on them
Get one stop for the love of god
All these goofy trick plays that aren't working for the Giants are guaranteed to go for 15+ yards against Gannon next week.
lol jalen reagor, so clos
Reagor good lord son

There is something so satisfying about watching Minnesota choke year after year.

My best TVTodd impression:
Cincy/Buffalo is gonna be a huge game so late Sunday
49ers/MNF winner will be early Sunday because can't force MNF team to play on Saturday
Eagles/Giants get Saturday night since they're two of the biggest metropolitan areas in the country so should be huge ratings
Which defaults Chiefs/Jags to Saturday early

BetMGM is at 7.5
it will be saturday, for sure
-if cinci wins, they face buffalo on sunday which puts kc/jax on saturday. this makes the timeslots a pure toss up. could go either way. id lean eagles primetime only because nbc already got 2 primetime games and bet against them getting a 3rd but its tight.
-if cinci loses, its kc/bal and buf/jax. 1 of those games would go 430 saturday and the other 300 sunday. eagles for sure at 8 there.

How is that not a fumble? I don't care if his arm was moving forward. He lost his grip on the ball and he clearly lost control of the ball.

This is not remotely close to being accurate. Prescott is the more talented QB. Parsons and Bosa are a wash. Dallas has the better right guard but SF has the better left tackle, a position that matters more. Otherwise SF has more weapons on both sides of the ball, and better special teams, and better coaches. Also they have guys that I think would specifically give the Eagles nightmares in ways Dallas cannot.
The Cowboys are so dumb.

Dallas fans have gone full IGY and want Dak out.
Honestly not sure they are wrong. Guy has peaked, and the peak is lower than Romo, another guy who never won anything for them. He's getting the latter-day McNabb stank on him, although in truth McNabb was a better QB than Dak. Same inconsistency and wilting in big spots though.
dak was atrocious tonight
its an interesting game if maher isnt a disaster...dallas probably is down 3 or maybe tied instead of down 7. changes the whole complexion of the final possessions, of course.
the mcnabb comp isnt far off. 2 guys that are in the middle of the pack of nfl qbs and can be very good one week and very bad the next. the difference is teammates like dak.
Hypothetical SB lines per Bovada
Eagles -1.5 vs Bengals o/u 49
Eagles +1.5 vs Chiefs o/u 49.5
Niners -1 vs Bengals o/u 48.5
Niners +1.5 vs Chiefs o/u 47.5
Chiefs are all over Burrow.
refs have kc ML my god
#58 on the Bengals is an extreme moron
The refereeing in this game was really bad.
Good thing the NFL has the guy whose crews has called the most penalties line up for the SB
