Jonathan Taylor will probably have 42 carries.
And Aaron Jones
And Derrick Henry
And Saquon Barkley
And Tony Pollard
This will be ugly friends
I don't see how they can stop this undefeated Jeff Saturday juggernaut.
Come out and snuff these fools out
31-13
Colts haven't scored an opening drive TD all year
Lol glad the Eagles could oblige
shtein ass farging third down defense
They have eight games left...can they win half of them?
Seriously wtf
Right on cue

Right now, it doesn't look like it.
4-4 over next 8 games is being way to generous.
That was embarrassing.
Sirianni has to get on Gannon
He's not matching up.
Colts are run heavy and he's out there matching up with nickel
Nice drop Smith. That was a well thrown pass.
Calcaterra didn't need to hold.
This team has flipped to being farging stupid

It wasn't a penalty but almost every call in the nfl isn't
Eagles have a free yard sale on rushing yards and colts thruw a swing screen in the flat on first down then don't go for it on 4th and 1....thanks Jeff
I love the look on Sirianni's face! Yes Nick, this is really happening, you guys aren't that good.
Absolutely brutal sack
That sack was ridiculous! WTF Hurts!

Amazing physical talent is wasted when you run right into the defender.
Can't take that sack.
This team has been farging trash
Wake up for fargs sake
This is exhibit A why the nfl is basically unwatchable....I don't understand why they can't ref the same as college does. Is it ego?
Yes.
But let's be fair - the NCAA isn't exactly a beacon of great officiating
It actually is
Obviously nothing is perfect but it is really good

Had the same conversation with my son last night, college football >>>> NFL. Finally had a Saturday with nothing to do during the day and watched a lot of games. Loved it. If birds weren't 8-0 earlier I'd watch, I'm all in but only the birds, i don't really give a shtein about Bills/Vikings or Chiefs/whomever. It is unwatchable more often than not.
I don't actually think the Eagles will lose this game, yet, but boy they're playing like ass.
Jalen should have pulled a Heineike and kneeled for the late hit penalty on that high snap.
Is it just me or is Kelce actually screwing up like twice a game now?
Wow!
Wow as in are "you farging kidding me!"

He and Dickerson's 2-3 penalties a game are the new Derek Barnett
Charles Davis uses an awful lot of words to say nothing.
Davis is annoying. He used to be ok but he sucks now
And even Kelce is shteinting himself now.
What a disaster
This farging defense can't tackle for shtein

What's the best nfl start to not make the playoffs...obviously 8-0 would be it....there would be no more Philly sports thing ever than that
What a horrific read by jalen
Goedert and Davis were apparently the linchpins of the team.
Siposs farging sucks
And so does Michael Clay
Steichen calling a stupid farging game too

8-0 was a smokescreen, I kept telling everyone hear when they'd give me the whole "wow, your eagles are good! They're going all the way!" I'd quickly shoot them down and get on my how the nfl is a joke and watered down, 8-0 doesn't meant squat, there are teams 5-3, hell 4-4 better than them, relax people Soapbox.

Yeah he's awful too.
What's his longest return - 10 yards? Just an auto tackle
15 is his longest
How appropriate
Okay, now I'm sure they'll lose.
Speaking of unwatchable, this farging team
Perfect ducking start
I hate this team
Might not have enough bourbon for this one.
I don't know or care why they're challenging this.
Honestly terrible losses with this qb is the best thing that could happen to them....extending jalen will put the franchise into a death spiral
This is the 1994 kotite eagles, 7-2 start and went 0-7 down the stretch.
I miss my Phillies
That's simply not a hold
That was unwatchable
How do you not at least throw a Hail Mary there....I've always known he's a pos but he's making me legit angry now
Cool, I can turn this shteinshow off now.
Hahaha
Wow
This team is Richie Kotite reincarnated.
1994.

Exactly
I trust Nick Castellanos not swinging at three straight pitches than I do this shtein show right now.
Let's quit with a quarter and a half left!
You brainless cowards!! I'm appalled right now.
OL is getting their asses whipped
Unreal
This secondary has really gone to shtein too the last month. They look puzzled
When the Houston Texans show the nfl the blueprint how to beat this team you got serious issues
I cannot overstate how much I dislike the decision not to run a play there.
When was the last time Sanders broke that second tackler? He's always getting tripped up just when you think "here he goes".
Whatever
Well what do you know
Oh my farging God
That's how this season will be remembered, shtein like that.
At least it's an all-around team effort of collapsing
Score or no score colts are just gonna churn that farging clock on Gannon's goons
Good night
Eagles lose New Orleans wins

farg your face mask
Are they playing for the farging field goal?
Sick of that farging RPo when everyone knows it's coming
All together:
"Way to much time"
Well, an ugly win is a win. :paranoid
had it all the way
BG! The man!
Only saving grace that makes me feel better really is I think a lot of us at the beginning of the year and as this winning streak was going on had this game chalked up as a loss
And there it is. Thank you Jalen Effin Hurts...
18/25 190 yds 1 TD, 86 yds rushing, 1 TD
107.1 QB Rating
All the man does is win or puts the Birdz in a position to win.
Hatin' on the man makes you stupid as farg; y'all betta get ya #1 jersey before them shteins sell out.
Holla at me when he goes down as the greatest QB in Eagles history.
The real loss was the feckless Rams unable to beat the Saints.

I'm not saying anything positive about Covey here but the Eagles kick return blocking is probably the worst in the NFL. Unbelieveable how many punts land surrounded by opponent players and not a non-returner Eagle in sight. KRs only blocked up marginally better. Been glaring all season regardless of the return man.
Elliot is the only positive thing in the whole Eagles special teams situation. Coach Clay gotta go.

Bootleg Phanatic
That's funny
Linval Joseph on the end of the game: "I knew we were going to have to drop our nuts... it was that moment, do or die. Who wants it more?"
Him and Suh had a big impact today
Agreed J! I was so ho-hum about the signings but my brother-in-law was saying no these two beefcakes are going to help the birds so much and God dammit those two were solid as hell today. I was bummed every time I saw fletch and Hargrave out there. Good shtein!
It's not a tough ask to be better than Marlon Tuipulotu. They still miss Davis bigly. When he comes back it'll be interesting to see how they use all the Lego pieces together.
After the first Colts drive (that nearly had me reaching for the cannon again), Gannon made the adjustments and the defense held its own. Got to give credit where credit is due.
Steichen was awful today. How many play calls did he botch during the course of the game? WHY THE farg ARE THE EAGLES RUNNING BOSTON SCOTT THREE TIMES IN A ROW WHEN THE GAME IS ON THE LINE? And I won't even get into that fake-ass attempt after the two-minute warning to draw the Colts offside. It upsets me too much.
Anyways, they won. WORST 9-1 TEAM EVER... right?
Great observation! I was so perplexed trying to figure out why all of a sudden Boston Scott? I honestly thought they were playing for the field goal to cut it to three hoping the defense we get a stop and get the ball back that's how bad they handled that at the end. The offside bluff was a
complete joke.
Good win yes, we're all happy, sort of but if this team gets in the playoffs it's not going to be pretty.
not a fun game to watch but yay 9-1.
and vikings just got dismembered by the cowboys.
i think they lose this game if matt ryan isnt such a stiff. he gave up any time there was pressure. to gannons credit they adjusted after the first drive and shut down the colts.
felt like they moved the ball fairly well just dumb shtein got in their way. penalties, some idiotic play calls, the awful aj fumble. sirianni going for it on 4th and 10 instead of kicking the 56 yard fg...what?
the last drive really stuck out to me. they scored, but they were deathly afraid of hurts throwing the ball. massive, massive tell in a do or die spot. didnt trust his arm.
the last 2 weeks theyve just been stupid and sloppy but this week didnt have a series of terrible turnovers and were playing a carcass at qb. not great!
Right now they're a two target team that has a running game that works okay. Might as well play to your strengths when left with no alternative.
QuoteThe Eagles had lost 41 straight games trailing by 10 or more going into the fourth quarter since that unforgettable 38-31 win over the Giants at the Meadowlands in 2010 – the DeSean Jackson last-second punt return touchdown.
Roob:
QuoteMaybe the most encouraging thing to come out of this game – and there were a lot – was the Eagles' ability to shut down the Colts' dynamic running attack after that first drive. Jonathan Taylor looked unstoppable in the first quarter, but largely because of Suh and Joseph the Eagles were fantastic vs. the run after that. The Colts finished with 99 rushing yards on 26 carries – that's 3.8 yards per carry. After the first drive they were 18-for-49 – 2.7 yards per carry. Matt Ryan is not a quarterback anymore who can carry an offense with his arm, and without benefit of an effective running attack, the Colts' offense couldn't do much. That's why the Eagles had the Colts right where they wanted them on that last drive after they took the lead. They had Ryan in known-throw, and that played right into the defense's hands. Once the Colts had to throw every snap, it was overQuote

The calls league wide for a while (especially this season) are so bad and inconsistent. The ego theory probably holds weight.
Rewatched this morning. The play calling was even worse upon second watching. Aside from the awful first drive the D played well. Suh and Joseph did exactly what they were brought into do and more. They're not just run stuffers they're pocket collapsers and can rush the passer. To get both these players this late in the season is a miracle. The problem they're dealing with is the bounce outside. The de's crash and don't contain and unless they're deep in the backfield good rbs will exploit that. With half decent run dts back in the fold Gannon needs to adjust and go wider. I like Hargraves but my god when he's taken out if a play he's completely absent. First game I've watched where the o line was overmatched majority of the day. They need to get Brown rolling again. Not even hating on the fumble the db made one helluva play. One TE needs to get with the program. They're not replacing Goedert but someone needs to at least resemble an nfl player. The st play is still atrocious.
https://twitter.com/danorlovsky7/status/1594697223048417280
Hurts' reads were really bad in this game. Don't know if defenses have figured out how to confuse him or what. The Eagles defense is fairly simple, and is made more simple with Goedert out. Colts seemed to know what was coming.

They don't have another TE who can both catch and block, and they aren't going to find one. Goedert is elite at both. To be fair, most NFL teams don't have one guy who can do both well. Goedert is one of their cheat code players. Without him in, the Eagles leak more information about what the play is going to be based on whether it's Stoll or Calcaterra out there.
Steichen's lousy game combined with poor personnel groupings didn't help Jalen. They were running 13 and taking AJ off the field which is dumb. Spread it out.
Also the OL issues forced him to be uncomfortable. They ran a lot of tight splits and that condensed him and didn't leave many lanes. Shout out to the smooth brain who thought it was ok to have a back blocking Ngouke (sp) too
They are going to continue to sprinkle in 13 personnel because it's just part of what they do. Their playbook is already pretty small for an NFL team.
Speaking of lanes, I noticed Lane in a negative way a few times. Not his finest performance, but also not a big deal compared to the other problems.
Agreed on Lane.
The last couple games have been guys who you don't normally see making negative plays, making negative plays.
Lane, Kelce, AJ and sticky fingers DeVonta has dropped a few.
