Not sure if you've ever been but Denver's an amazing city. Went there for a Phillies series in 2016.
Birds giving 2.5
I haven't. Really looking forward. My Air bnb "420 friendly".

We took a cannabis bus tour. It's a few hours of smoking different strands and visiting dispensary and glass blowing factories. I'm sure they're shut down because of covid but that was the funnest part of our trip
Well of course no one wants you to smoke inside... Your listing is cool with that?

Yeah def. mine isn't the only one but when looking around I came across a bunch that go out of their way to say "420 friendly"
Well, to each their own.
I won't tolerate any smoke in my home. Step outside for that shtein.
I agree at the same time I got three friends coming who are trying to live at my place for the weekend

I remember for months and months after I stopped smoking I would get on the train and it didn't make any difference whether I sat in a smoking or nonsmoking car. It's amazing what we humans can get used to and accept as normal. Cool Whip and diet sodas, never ending proxy wars. Half of everything out there.
anyone care to guess when the eagles last win in denver was?
ill give you a hint: matt cavanaugh threw one pass
last game I went to in Denver was when they had Peyton. I sat in the very last row of mile high and broncos scored 50+. was still a fun time.
Late 80's I was in Philly and wound up at Tavern on Green in Spring Garden. That was the infamous Eagles/Denver game where Buddy started off the game running the ball to prove they could if they wanted to.
Great game.
god these jerseys are even uglier than i imagined
the eagles forced a punt (!)
Nice start. Helluva catch by Smith.
Pants and jersey don't look as awful as I expected
Was Slay grabbing his knee at the end of Q1?

DeVonta is a gawd

World is ending
I don't know what's the worst part of this game; the Eagles uniforms, the Broncos uniforms, the digital camo coaches stuff, or the Eagles winning.
Unreal drop.
Unfargingreal
man hurts has been good this half...like very good
maybe the best pass of his life and quez drops it
Who knew Denver's thin air was the solution to Hurts' weak, pathetic arm?
Watkins of all people! Holy shtein I could see Reagor but this is shocking

He's been good since the Detroit game. They ran the ball a lot last week but he was efficient. I'm not saying he's the future but he's improved. Part of that is play calling and Sirriani actually running the ball.

Colorado has some strong strains...I'm not a frequent smoker so I didn't push it but my one friend is an every day smoker and he didn't remember the last few innings of the Phillies game (they won).
Anyway lol
Hell did freeze over Barnett with the sack, fletch with his first big tackle we've seen in weeks,
Watkins drops a sure touchdown.
And now a blocked field goal!
Thank you God
Obviously I haven't been paying attention, but I thought the Broncos were supposed to be at least okay.
That was the strangest body positioning I've ever seen on a blocked kick
Havas all fried! Yes!
That was awful
It is kind of nice watching games these days as we all have zero expectations, this is the most relaxed I've been as an Eagles fan for as long as I can remember.
"It's always him!"
Oh my God laughing out loud at this color man on CBS trying to defend the untimely luck of Derek Barnett.
F'n Barnett.
I don't know if it's the horrific orange uniforms that are messing with my eyes but the Broncos offensive line looks huge!
How do you underthrow a wr in perfect coverage on a go route with a safety in perfect position over the top.
Well Slay certainly made that more entertaining than it had to be.
gordon had to be of been down or fwd progress stopped...but uhhh i guess not

I can't see the entire field but I'm assuming the Broncos thought Gordon was down and let Slay run around for 20 minutes first before trying to tackle him
Finally a good replay 100% a fumble

Normally: Dickerson, probably. Who went down a couple plays ago. So I think it will be Herbig.
Can't fault Herbig as Kelce right on cue with a snap almost over hurts head.
Guess these guys are just getting the wind knocked out of them in the thin air.
Remember we used to have heart attacks every time fletch went down? Not so much anymore
next week is the swing game now
win = very much in contention for the 6/7 seed
loss = draft pick watch
after the saints, they play the jets, giants x2, wash x2 before week 18. cant ask for an easier draw.

As much as we complain about the Birds I don't think I've ever seen the whole Eagle team give as little effort as the Broncos gave on that Slay TD. The more replays I see the worse it looks for them.
That was a stunning display of... competence?
I'd say they've achieved the pinnacle of mediocrity.

He had a strong game but his severe limitations are still evident all the time. Doesn't utilize the whole field, doesn't look beyond the first read. Can't be a consideration for a long term QB until he figures those things out, even if his accuracy and decision making are as good as they were in the first half. I hope he can put it all together but am skeptical.
I still think he's the QB next year because I don't really see any substantially better option being available, except maybe a dirtbag who blows loads onto Instagram masseuses.
Hurts is much better than he was but that's no reason to settle for him going forward. I mean if it came down to it and they had to stick with him and drastically upgrade the defense with those picks coming, then yes, keep him around for now.
They're not winning anything anytime soon anyway.

if hes qb1 next year...first off yuck...second off theres really no plan b after. watson-rodgers-wilson are all being moved this offseason. the next group, youre talking guys like carr-jimmy g-danny dimes-matt ryan-baker-teddy b.
their draft capital is now so its either do it or dont
Latest mocks have 2 or 3 qbs in the 1st round but none of them are anything special. Hopefully Howie realizes this isn't a deep qb draft and doesn't reach. Not sure if he'd wave his ntc but I think Howie's offseason priority is Watson. They took Vick so I doubt they care about their reputation.

Watson is radioactive for the foreseeable future, but I think he's the only one the Eagles could land. The decision to trade for him goes well beyond football and I would be shocked if Lurie signed off on it. And it would still require Watson waiving a no-trade clause.
Rodgers and Wilson will get to call their destination and I don't see either choosing Philly. As for draft capital, the Giants need a QB and could have two picks higher than any of the Eagles picks. Jets supposedly have a QB of the future but also are going to have two early first rounders if they want to make a splash.

Vick did everything right from the moment he plead guilty. Did time, showed remorse, worked with animal organizations. Yes there are people who can never forgive treating dogs like that, which makes it a PR challenge, but Vick had a path back to respectability laid out before him and he took that path and never wavered.
Watson is in a whole different place with his shtein.
And dogs don't buy Eagles merch. Women do.
Yeah QB is spot on here. Watson is bad business. Despite Lurie showing willingness to give guys second chances this is one he cannot take that shot on. Nor should he.
Rodgers isn't coming here.
Maaaaybe they have a shot at Wilson but if youse thought Five was a cornball wait til Russ shows up. But ultimately I can't see him coming here.
And the guys in that second tier aren't better than Jalen. Or if some are it's marginal and not worth bringing them in.
The draft stinks for QBs. Flat out stinks. If a dude from Falwell University is getting mentions as a top guy step back and breathe. And as much as I like Matt Corral as a college QB he's not top of the first round material. shtein maaaaaybe he's a second rounder in a normal draft.
Jalen Hurts is QB1 for this year and next. Let him grow (or fail).

Watson's situation still has to play itself out. He hasn't been charged with a crime...there's just a bunch of civil lawsuits. Vick didn't show real remorse until he was behind bars. His ascension back to respectability is nothing short of remarkable and this is coming from a pitbull lover. Trump cheated on 3 wives, rawdogged and paid off a porn star, was caught saying he kisses women without their consent and grabs them by the Hoyda...he went on to beat the first ever female Presidential candidate (who actually got the nominee).
neanderthals voting for a rapist is different from a private business supporting one
the eagles are too big to fail and have too many fans who think supermaning instagram message therapists is a perfectly fine thing so this aint no business decision...its about what lurie wants and what he can stomach. whatever team trades for him will take some hits, there will be a christine brennan column and the libs will lib then everyone will move on and the games will start and itll all be about how he plays (after his suspension).
ftr i want no part of him
Neanderthal's watch football too. If the situation is resolved and he's not suspended (ftr what he did was scummy but I don't see him serving any jail time assuming charges get brought up) I'd take him. Bout to hit his prime top 5 qb. If the accusations are proven say you're sorry, take some classes, donate some money and move on.
Quarterback is not the highest priority with this team. With no better prospects on the horizon, Hurts is fine for now, maybe for next year, too. The team needs talent everywhere. If you want to blow all the capital to add a serial sexual predator who threw the ball good before his disgusting treatment of vulnerable women, I won't be watching, and neither will be a lot of people who could care less about his repugnant character, because he'll still be surrounded by trash, and the product on the field will suck hairy balls.
Trade some of that capital out so the team is in good position for when a decent QB prospect is available, and use the rest to add actual f'n playmakers to the team.
I enjoy watching Jalen Hurts. Even when he throws a wobbly noodle arm pass I'm happy that I don't have to cheer for Wentz.
And there is zero chance they sign Watson. Lurie is probably not the progressive god many people think he is but he won't cross that line.

thats not at all how it works...you always need a franchise qb until you dont. hurts might get better but his ceiling is limited and he never ever going to be a top 10 qb, let alone top 20.
can you win in the short term with a mediocre qb? sure. there are a bunch of recent examples of teams winning super bowls with mediocre qbs...then immediately falling apart. look no further than your eagles. but this aint the way anyone builds it and howie/lurie want a qb more than you want cheap mexican labor.
The odds of getting a top tier franchise QB are astronomical. Plenty of teams have won Super Bowls with middle of the road guys including ours.
Building a truly great supporting cast is more of a plausible scenario.
Having guys in charge of selecting them and coaching them is also just as important, btw.

Baltimore
Conversely, Detroit had a legit Franchise QB and didn't do dick for a decade.
joe flacco was a t2 qb until he fell off a cliff...im assuming youre referring to him and not lamar. and stafford is firmly in tier 2 as well. hes never been mvp level talented.
