no volume here but ESPN just did a lot on him....what did they say

imo if he had better size he'd be a good safety prospect

ESPN said he was the steal of the draft.

McShay was shocked that he lasted as long as he did.

And Linda Cohn said she got moist at the thought of him.

I'm on NFLN - ESPN lost me with their commercials and lousy production

NFLN hasn't mentioned it yet. Working through the recent picks now

He's got CB inside and outside experience along with some safety and is a good STs guy

sucks for you cause I was floored at how long they stayed on him...it was a good two minute highlite package

never leave the world wide leader

And by the way... McShay & Wingo are terrific.  Not sure why Jay is shteinting on them.  Stupid Texan.

it's cool on Twitter to hate ESPN

I'm not shteinting on them. I wanted to watch ESPN

But yesterday they were missing picks. Second rounders! For commercials.

Today was a commercial fest too. NFLN has been more substance

ESPN is a billion times better but Twitter flipped out yesterday cause of some sort of a missed pick

stay with the Goodell network tho and miss eagle breakdowns

Philadelphia Eagles: Blake Countess, CB, Auburn  B Grade

The Eagles had a number of positions to address, but couldn't really address much because of their lack of picks. Ideally, they would've found help for the secondary earlier, but they just couldn't do so. Blake Countess fits the range here in the middle of the sixth round. He's a sound tackler and could one day end up starting in the slot.

If a guy is selected in the sixth round yet is judged to be a potential future starter how can you rate that pick anything less than an A+?

You expect 1st, 2nd & even 3rd round picks to be legit starters but after those guys it's a total roll of the dice.

QuoteThe Los Angeles Rams released S Blake Countess yesterday due to not being able to agree to new terms on a pay cut, and the Philadelphia Eagles have claimed the former Ram, per NFL Network's Ian Rapaport:

QuoteCountess became expendable when the Rams drafted two safeties this past weekend in the second round in Taylor Rapp, and seventh round in Nick Scott. Both guys have the ability to play a vital role on special teams, and that's where majority of Countess' contribution stemmed from.

In 2018, Countess started one game at safety for the Rams, though he ultimately suffered an injury (concussion protocol) and was pulled rather quickly. On 58 defensive snaps and 356 special teams snaps, Countess produced nine total tackles, one interception, and two pass deflections.

Countess brings the ability to play at either safety spot or even the nickel cornerback position in a pinch. Ironically enough, he was actually drafted by the Eagles in 2016

he has a very good shot to make it over san-day-yo because he will not cost them a comp pick
