1 yr deal. He's no Miles Austin, that's for sure.
Bum
Fast and can't catch
Nice
So it's fair to say you're having misgivens about this signing, Jay?
Capt mock !!

At least it beat slow and can't catch.
So he's already an upgrade over Cooper.

Lol
And good point GF - better than Kkkooper
I don't hate it. They needed speed and their slow guys didn't catch much. Some upside, no downside to it. Another rational move.
$760K 1-yr deal = literally no risk. Lurie spends more on windmill lubricants at the stadium.
actually the downside is that he sucks and in turn so do the wr's again
it's not about being better than kkk it's about having a quality set of wr's
If he sucks worse than what they have, he gets cut. Whatever.

I actually think it means they're going to draft a WR high again. If they were planning on signing a guy for a lot of dough, they would have already.
Also, I'd rather have this crapshoot to, say, whiner Mike Wallace.

he signed to improve the wr's....not to get cut...who cares about the money and what would happen to the cap if hes cut

I think by basically addressing every single need position they had in FA thus far it means they are going to take the best player available on the board at 8...and I don't mean that in draft speak I mean that literally...if that player is treadwell then givens sucking doesn't mean as much...but if its not Treadwell then givens needs to contribute as hes their only true lengthen the defense guy

Definitely. He was decent for a minute in Pittsburgh, but he hasn't done shtein since. Lol @ him talking shtein on Teddy B.
It's not a move to hate. It's not like there was a superstar to snap up. Roll the dice on low risk potential.
This is all nonsense anyway. If Stanley is there @ #8, that's the pick. Howie has dusted off the Joe & Andy playbook from 2003 and is running that shtein hard. Either he succeeds with it or he drives that bitch off the cliff. Either way, there's no way Howie goes for a flashy receiver when a 10-15 year starter at tackle might be there for the taking.

I want to see 30 year old Jackson come back just so we can finally pretend the previous three years didn't happen.
Cut
Boom
And just like that, Chris Givens' name is removed from every one of Phreak's fantasy draft boards.
Nice try but no
So you're sticking with him?

of course, givens was his sleeper pick.
Paul Turner moving up the draft board.
