must be the manziel factor
a lot of the times in these situations, they put an nfc game in an nfc market or area when theres no obvious game to go. some markets might change over the next few days. but manziel is a big enough draw, i guess, to keep them there.

This made me laugh. It's always the same type of woman who wears that which makes me think it's an attention thing.
My grandparents on both sides were from Dallas and Kingston and I grew up watching Eagles games with them. Wasn't really until I got to college that I realized most of that part of PA is Steelers.
normally this is a position id pick the eagles to lose in...coming off a big win....three games coming up against sub .500 teams...no way they dont slip up in one of those three and the dolphins would be the prime team to do so against as they are better than their record....but the dolphin defense has been suspect when they had cameron wake...and mostly you gotta love chip against teams that have not faced him and even tho bill lazor is there miami is one of those teams....

If the penalty doesn't negate teh play, that should be first down Eagles where Bradford recovered it, right?

Whewwwww
Irregardless of the penalty, it was a stupid pass and dumb play calling. Offense has looked like, shtein, the past few series. Get the hell out of there.
hey all that bs at the end of the half managed to injure their starting CB at least
If only the Eagles had a starting WR to target while he's down.
It should've been 19-3 or maybe even 23-3
Yet here we are
Special teams wanna make a play this year rather than give up big returns and blocks?
So prior to that pointless final play, Quick says they have to go deep and that they've got Agholar and Miles Austin on the field, so they've got their speed guys out there.
Miles Austin = speed guy.
That's about the most damning thing you can say about the receivers as a group.
Another Jason Kelce holding

I thought the rule was they were defenseless until they have possession and make a "football move". Which is why so many of the calls seem like total BS.
Nah that was clean to the midsection

Pick will probably be in the 15 range but it's better than going 7-9 and making the playoffs and getting bounced in the first round.
Know what really sucks, the NFC is wide open. There are no dominant teams. Sure the Panthers are undefeated but the Eagles could have easily beaten them if they don't drop the ball 19 times. Arizona is so so, the NFC East blows, the Vikings are under rated, Packers blow, Seattle is a joke.
This is basically the same as the NFC/NFC East that Andy Reid dominated for the better part of a decade and Chip's about to miss the playoffs for the 2nd straight year.

They're not losing out. Even if you wanted that it's not going to happen.
So since they won't lose out and go 4-12 or even 5-11 and you don't want a middling pick from the 7-9 or 8-8 range you look at the crap conference and push to win the division.
You get into the playoffs with a defense that can play well and a running game that can dominate.
So that's my view.

What is so implausible about the Eagles winning the division? Exactly who is it that they have no shot of beating? But omgz let's watch the Eagles lose 7 straight games now so Chip can get a somewhat better draft pick and then we will superbowls.
Is it optimistic or pessimistic to think Chip's gone after this season?

Oh I'm not saying that pick wasn't the final dagger
Missed FG should have put it at 19-3...if drive doesn't sputter then it's 23-3...but can't assume that. So let's say 19-3.
Blocked punt allowed Miami great field position and a score
Toss in the other stupid penalties and mental errors and you've got a smorgasbord of farg ups before the pick.
But even then they had s shot to win and the INT robbed them of that so of course that's on Sanchez. They shouldn't have been throwing it there anyways.

He also didn't make any effort on the int by Sanchez
He was awful today and has been all season.
Find a guy on the street or bring up a PS dude and you'd get a better effort
Perfect. Some guy off the street will get up to speed on the offense and tempo just in time for that playoff run.
Better than Miles Austin
Bring up Freddie Martino and you'd see better snaps from him
They do need some help at center...
Thankfully I sold my tix to this game. I may regret not doing the same for the Tampa game.
i dragged my kid to b dubs to watch that shtein show of a game and hang out with that 9/11 survivor from the league...but he couldn't make it because he was still in paris.
anyway, the eagles stink. hinkie should gm the remainder of this season.

Okay, I chuckled.
Oh, and that game was nauseating. Football in general is getting more and more painful to watch.

However the offense still moved better than when Bradford was in
did you watch the game?
bradford had just two more attempts yet threw for almost a 100 yards more than sanchez at a 76% completion rate
bradford was actually very efficient.....sanchez was classic sanchez....dink and dunk then throw a killer pick....rinse wash repeat
im not even a bradford guy but I don't know how you watched that game and though sanchez was better....its like you literally just make stuff up to further your ridiculous sanchez agenda
Incorrect.
The flow of the offense is better with Sanchez. He's more mobile and can turn a busted play into something as he did a few times yesterday.
My agenda is I believe the offense runs better with Sanchez as compared to Bradford. I don't like Bradford. He's been better but yesterday, other than that 1st quarter, he was regressing into what we have seen earlier in the year.
So yeah...although Chip said Bradford starts when healthy...I hope it takes him awhile to come back because I prefer Sanchez.
the flow of the game with sanchez was so good they scored 3 points with him
outside of the sanchez family you are the only person on earth who wants him to start over badford....and outside of the bradford family no one on earth even likes him
Blocking had nothing to do with the QB play yesterday.
Bacon.

this is batshtein insanity. you are like one of those morons at the stadium who gave sanchez a standing o like he's farging montana. and what happened? farging sanchez happened with his pos game ruining interception.

There's no hope for you bud, you've officially lost it
You guys borrow Havas' hyperbolic chamber or just sleeping in it with him?
Sanchez isn't Montana. I don't hold this dude up to be anything other than better than Sam farging Bradford. I think he's the best option for them right now.
he's not, you're wrong.

He's not better than Bradford. Bradford isn't Montana either but his decision making has greatly improved over the past 3 weeks, he was injured at the worst possible time because we were finally seeing what he was capable of. I can't remember the last time he threw a pick. He's also working with the worst receivers in the league and probably the worst O line in the league. It's great Sanchez is more mobile, that does a lot for when he rolls left and throws an endzone pick.

Yeah he looked great when he got flushed out of the pocket, dodged the sack, and threw back across his body for the TD completion to Huff.
Oh wait that was Bradford.
Sanchez was the one that turned a non-broken play when only a field goal was needed into a game-killing interception.
I'm right and you're wrong!

im far from some bradford fanboy but give him a legit set of nfl wr's and id be more than happy going into next year with him as the qb
its a broken record but again how the farg do you trade a good draft pick for him then surround him with complete trash...he wasn't some guy you picked up off the street....that trade is a legacy builder type move for chip yet the way hes treated bradford would make you think he wanted him to fail
Hey, he got the guy an 1800 yard RB to hand off to. He totally tried, okay? Like, really hard.
Breaking news ... Sanchez is a back up QB for a reason.
The long-term prospects of the Eagles might be the most grim of Philly's 4 major teams. I get that you can turn things around in football pretty quickly, so that is a factor, but the fact that the Eagles don't have a QB, and I have no idea how the hell they are going to get one, makes me think it's going to be quite a while before this team is a legitimate contender. Not to mention they basically have to rebuild the entire offense now with Chip Kelly destroying it.
It's funny saying this now after how brutal they have been for years, but I honestly wouldn't be shocked if the Phillies are a playoff team again before the Eagles are. Dark days are ahead for the Eagles any way you slice it.
Couldn't agree with you more although it's going to be dark for both franchises for sometime. I wanted Mariota IF the genius was/is firmly set on staying. The Eagles have proven they don't draft well of late and anything they mortgaged to get MM wasn't a big concern to me. Other than Hicks this year who is worth a shtein, who is a future Pro Bowler? Last year? Two years ago? I rest my case. Lane Johnson? He's OK but I don't see him as the next Runyan or Peters. AP 81 is right, they have no QB and there isn't shtein out there, FA or NCAA. Unless they find the next Tom Brady in round 5 get ready for a steady dose of Bradfords, Sanchezs, Fitzpartricks, Mettenbergs, Gabberts, etc. behind center.

I'm not saying the eagles won't get a lot worse before they get better because this could get ugly but you are never far away from the playoffs in today's garbage nfl...shtein if they still had Jeremy maclin they probably win the division and he's one good not even great wr
on no planet do the Phillies have even close as good a chance to make the playoffs before the eagles...shtein right now the eagles probably have a 40% chance to be in the playoffs in less than two months
the phils have a zero % chance to make it in the next two years

Was just thinking about this this morning. If they re-sign Maclin, don't make the Shady trade, and keep Mathis, they're probably 6-3 and an NFC favorite.
Hell, if they simply kept Maclin they'd be in far better shape than they are now. He's not elite, but he's pretty damn good and can do a little bit of everything.
Maclin had 3 catches for 17 yards on Sunday when K.C. scored 29 points. How is Shady any better than what Mathews/Murray has given them? Buffalo has him splitting time with Karlos Williams, for god's sake. Mathis I'll marginally grant you because even as limited as he is he's still better than either guard they have now, plus he made Kelce about 100 times better.
As someone once said, you are what your record says you are. This team is straight garbage for a lot of reasons and suggesting three marginal replacements would suddenly turn them into division leaders simply belies the facts.
are you seriously suggesting that jeremy maclin on this team would be marginal upgrade over josh huff and riley cooper?
I'm suggesting he along with Shady & Mathis wouldn't turn them into a 6-3 contender. You read what I wrote, right?
The receivers are terrible, but the receivers on the undefeated Panthers are just as bad. Offensive line breakdowns and QB mediocrity look like the issues to me, but the Vikings have had the same issues (yep, Teddy B is just a game manager) and are 7-2 on the back of a power running game.
It's like the Eagles just haven't figured out how to acknowledge and play around their limitations the way that other teams have. That's on Chip for not finding the right schemes, and the players for making brutal game-costing errors (drops, penalties, ill-advised passes, and other mental lapses). With Sanchez in there, the errors will only increase. Even in the game or two when Murray was statistically good, he hasn't looked comfortable in this offense once. We're in mid-November and Chip hasn't figured out how to use him yet.
The whole offense looks out of rhythm and uncomfortable to watch. Something about the way they play tends to bring their opponents down to their level too, which has kept them in games, but made watching them even more awkward. There's zero indication any of this will change before the end of the season.

shady is a better back than Murray. He's had some hamstring injuries so they haven't given him a full workload. They could have alleviated that problem by signing Mathews like they did and not running him into the ground.
And who cares what Maclin's stats were one game, he put up great numbers in this offense last season.

yeah it was just so silly that i had to confirm it
In his last three games he's tallied 9 catches for 100 yards and a td.
He's been less than average in KC but because he was great LAST YEAR for the Eagles, that means he'd be great this year.

lol
with a legitimate outside threat at wr theres no way they dont have two more wins right now...in the end it doesnt matter they arent good enough to win the superbowl even with a mack type wr added to the mix but this pos embarrasment of a division they could....as it stands now with the current wr's they have they arent even as good as washington

Lol @ citing 1 game against an elite pass defense. That makes sense.
QuoteHow is Shady any better than what Mathews/Murray has given them? Buffalo has him splitting time with Karlos Williams, for god's sake.
This makes less sense. You're knocking Shady for splitting time with Karlos Williams (who is pretty good), and wondering why his production isn't as good as a pair of guys who also split carries. If you're argument is that Murray>>>>Shady (and that's the way it seems), then why would Murray defer carries to Mathews? If he was
that good, wouldn't Chip leave him out there more?
Personally I think the 2 are about a wash. Shady is better in the open field, Murray is more powerful. Both carry the ball like morons and have fumbling issues at times.
murray is better with a zesty oline cause he will get tons of no gains versus shadys tackles for loss....but with a valid line and wr's ill take shady...really tho theres probably no appreciable difference btwn the two and definitely not when you have them surrounded by garbage at almost every position on offense....its whi its worthless to spend so much money on backs...you can pour half your payroll into the position and if some or all of your qb oline wr's stink then it doesnt matter
so let me get this straight, there's no chance the eagles wouldn be two games better at this point with a better rb (in this offense), a much better wr and better oline talent ?
also, can we really penalize maclin when his qb is capt checkdown ?
Once again... Shady hasn't been "much better" than the guys he was replaced by. Maclin hasn't produced like he did last year. In fact he's back to his career norms. And Mathis would be marginally better than either of the guys he'd replace.
None of these factors alone or combined make the Eagles a 6-3 team. Sorry.
so, the guys sent packing are better as you admit, just not enough to help the team win 2 more games out of 5 loses.
why are you looking at current production...numbers are not a strong comparitive base in the nfl like they are in other sports....situation is so much more important....you cant compare mack in kc's offense to what he did in chips...its not that "mack hasnt produced like last year" rather its how would he have produced here versus huff or kkk....the upgrade would be ridiculous and worth enough additional pts in their losses....four of which totalled 16 pts....to the point they win a couple of those
shady i agree would not have made a huge difference
in terms of wins and losses i think you can make an argument that mathis wouldnt have made a difference either...although its arguable and hes a much bigger upgrade over their current guards than what you portray
No matter what you think the team stinks and there's one person to blame.
Lurie

Obama.
You guys are stupid, I'm gonna blame Goodell.
