Getting released tomorrow night at 8.
Any guesses on the opener?
I'm gonna go with a 62-10 loss.
Touchdown Tebow?
im down to a 40% shot on the pats opener
if its not them it could be any other game....who the farg knows when games will be
Buffalo for the Shady revenge?
Or do they save that for a Thursday nighter?
nobody farging cares about that
outside of the opener-430-snf-mnf dh all the matchups are totally random. they build in the games they want to showcase over the 17 weeks, then everything else is totally randomly determined by a computer.
Not confirmed but stuff's floating out there about opening SNF at Dallas
EDIT: false
stillers are at NE to open the season
Won't be opening at the Jets. They're hosting Cleveland
Quotenickpowellbkny
#Giants Week 1 matchup: Sunday night at the #Cowboys, per league source.

Thankful for that, didn't want to open the season on a Thursday. I like easy opening weeks like the 1 o'clock game last year vs. the Jags.
Falcons @ Giants in week 2, so NY is out for the home opener

Not that they didn't try their hardest to make that game not look easy at all.
Gus bus gonna start rollin this year
Saw a rumor about week 2 home opener vs New Orleans, but I don't think it's legit
First "confirmed" one: week 17 here vs the Giants
can a rumor be legit? isn't that the point of the word rumor?
Supposably
Another one: the DC visit is week 4
easy in his element
ha...Puzzles 'n shtein
Latest one: the season opener is at Atlanta in the early MNF game, but that would conflict with an earlier report that it's Chiefs/Bengals
Also seeing Thanksgiving at Detroit
Heard day after Xmas vs Racists. Saturday game?

Denver @ Detroit is the word I'm seeing.
Also Week 11, Eagles at Foxboro
probably be best to wait until 8
The Patriots schedule is fake
Everyone was saying Denver @ Detroit earlier, but it switched in the past half hour or so
Now there's a rumor that the week 17 game is at MetLife
ha. yeah thats my plan too.
01 = at Atlanta MNF 7:00
02 = vs Dallas 4:25
03 = at NY Jets 1:00
04 = at Washington 1:00
05 = vs New Orleans 1:00
06 = vs NY Giants MNF 8:30
07 = at Carolina SNF 8:30
08 = BYE
09 = at Dallas SNF 8:30
10 = vs Miami 1:00
11 = vs Tampa Bay 1:00
12 = at Detroit (Thanksgiving 12:30)
13 = at New England 4:25
14 = vs Buffalo 1:00
15 = vs Arizona 1:00
16 = vs Washington SAT 12/26 8:30 NFLN
17 = at NY Giants 1:00
thankfully theres a bye in between 3 straight prime time games because that's going to be a sloppy month of gamedays.
Thanks Ed. One stop shop!

also obviously I knew where it was but seeing new orleans on their sked not at new orleans makes me sad
How in the hell did they get back to back Thanksgiving games? Beautiful.
I was excited about the game at Atlanta, since I'd be able to see that without crappy streams, and now I feel ripped off that it'll be a prime time game.
Thanksgiving at 12:30 is literally the worst possible scenario for me on that day.
Atlanta on opening night MNF is horrible. I have memories of Trotter getting his ass thrown the farg out before the 2005 opener.
3 out of 4 on the road to start the season is ridiculous too. And I hate games that aren't at 1:00 on Sunday. That's when you play NFL football. iceholes.

They were chosen as the pseudo-home team for London a few years ago. 4 years in a row I think.
Hate the schedule and all the prime time bullshtein. Like Rome said gimme 1 o'clock games like the old days

NFL football belongs at 1:00 on Sundays. That's the list. It doesn't belong on farging Thursday (unless there's turkey to be gorged on later) and it sure as farg doesn't belong on Saturdays or Sunday nights. Sorry, but it just doesn't. They're not making the playoffs this year because Riley Cooper is still a starting receiver and whoever lines up at quarterback will have a jersey that says Clown Shoes on the nameplate.

If that actually happens, and it's part of the actual plan (as opposed to the result of catastrophic injuries or a massive draft bust), I find it more questionable than trading away Shady, dropping DJax, banking on Sam Bradford, and signing Tim Tebow combined.
If that happens maybe Chip really is racist. Watch some farging tape of this guy, Chip.

Any road trips this year?
me and matty were discussing before how bad the road schedule is this year...i wouldnt mind going to detroit but i dont know what the ticket situation will be like with it being thanksgiving
Impossible.
Those people there love that game. One of my vendors is right outside of DET and my biggest customer is from there and we were talking about making a mill visit trip around the game but no shot now that it's on Thanksgiving.
It is a pretty lousy road schedule though.
If they ever play in London would you go?
no....no desire to go to london
i have a lot to digest from a tv perspective nationally, but here goes the eagles
-3 of first 4 on the road because of the phils and the pope
-lack of sunday 100 games because its not 1975 anymore and national timeslots matter. also, the eagles are (predicted to be) good. if they werent, youd have plenty of 100 sunday games.
-3 really fun looking home games: dal (425 national), nyg (mnf), dc (sat night). the rest are sunday 100 jawns. cant complain.
-surprised the eagles maxed out on primetime games.
-very surprised they are on thanksgiving again. not complaining. cant remember a team doing it in back to back years on the road.
-carolina snf is going to be a total stinkbomb. how in the world did nbc get stuck with that?
-the eagles have a couple of matchups that COULD be moved to snf, but the only one, right now, i see has a possibility is arizona.
Quote from: MDS on April 21, 2015, 10:56:09 PM-very surprised they are on thanksgiving again. not complaining. cant remember a team doing it in back to back years on the road.
Was curious about this one and it only happened three other times since the merger:
Kansas City 1995 (DAL)-1996 (DET)
Minnesota 1987 (DAL)-1988 (DET)
Washington 1973 (DET)-1974 (DAL)
Buffalo would have also done it in 1975-1976, but '75 was the first of two seasons where they played the game in St. Louis instead of Dallas
kc was under the old strict rules of what was a cbs (or at that time nbc) game and what was a fox game
so its the first time in a very, very long time
QuoteInteresting how the NFL arrived at Pitt-NE. They almost made it Philly, but TV considerations made them go away from it.

i don't see a part of the schedule that looks particularly hard. they even get a week and a half rest before playing the pats.
diddy has been bitter all offseason. he & the rest of the philly media must hate that chip doesn't bow down to them & goes outside the box with his moves. if we don't understand the moves, they must be bad. :P
he may very well be right about bradford but it wont have anything to do with the schedule...that reasoning is just stupid...id also like to see bradford actually make it far enough to play some of the schedule before i worry about how hes gonna do against it
Bradford's leg will probably detach before September, but if the insinuation is that Foles could take this team to 10 wins with this schedule but Bradford can't beat anyone, that's pretty dumb.
This team has problems and Bradford is a cripple, but IF he's on the field, like Diddy is presuming, I don't see how it's some gigantic drop from Foles.
yep...i don't see bradford sucking worse than foles when he's on the field. the question is how many games he'll be on the field.
if i recall i dont think diddy has ever been a fan of bradford which may explain his opinion vs having foles(who he's liked).
regardless of the reason(s) he gave i dont see this team making the playoffs. too many IFs right now.
can someone tell me why this team is worse than last year? i can't seem to find a reason.
Other than WR that is.
If Bradford gets hurt, the QB who started half of last season comes in. not ideal but I still think this roster is better than the team who was at one point 9-3 last year.

1. One of Matthews / Cooper is the #1 receiver.
2. Sam Bradford's knees are put together with duct tape and spitballs. Mark Sanchez is still Mark Sanchez.
3. Age 40+ Brian Dawkins would be the best safety on the team.
4. Kelly may be putting together the best M*A*S*H unit in the history of the NFL.
Overall, I'm having a hard time getting a feeling about how this roster will do. They very well may improve if Bradford can become/stay healthy, Murray is as advertised and Kelly can find a WR in the draft. But it also wouldn't surprise me if the Eagles took a dive next season,either.
Plus I'm a Philly fan. I'm conditioned to think the worst. Somehow Phreak escaped that fate.
lol life's too short to be negative!
offensive line is worse and a year older
everyone they acquired is an injury concern
qb is a mess...imo bradford does hold some more hope at the position than foles but overall compared to this time last year the position is in worse shape because of the health factor
wr's are an absolute joke
depth is horrendous...especially along the lines
defense should be better but not so much better that its made up for the mess on offense they created...going buck wild in the draft on some promising wr's would make a difference and close the gap
to think this years team is as good or better than last years at this time youd have to buy into the notion that chip is a genius and no matter what they have on offense he will make it work and you have to believe that everyone they got with an injury history will stay healthy and play to their ability
No chance the draft picks help.
You're right bc they're trading all pickzzz for Mariota
last year only 1 of chip's first 4 picks contributed
2 straight up didnt play because they suck...err....werent good enough yet!
1 was a detriment
1 was pretty decent but has some fairly evident athletic limitations
im sure this year now that that pesky jew is out of the way, it will be perfect because chip is perfect
The choice came down to an accountant and a guy who's been in talent evaluation in one way or another for the last 30 years.
Sorry, little fella.
Then it should have been great draft cause chip made the picks
dave spadaro clearly said howie made the marcus smith pick and all the other ones that didnt work
chip picked the ones that worked
simple
the best revisionist history ever is the one where chip really wanted jordan matthews in the first....he just so happened to want the best pick in the spot where the worst pick was made....riiiiiiight

Why is it a good thing to push to draft a guy who will be available 15 picks later anyway? No one should get credit for that, that's a fargup.
Even the chip apologists know that he has no clue where and when most players should be taken
