Players Who Have Visited
USC WR Nelson Agholor
AzSt S Damarious Randall
Mississippi State LB Benardrick McKinney
AzSt WR Jaelen Strong
San Diego State OL Terry Poole
USC TE Randall Telfer
Georgia WR Chris Conley
Wake Forest CB Kevin Johnson
UCF WR Breshad Perriman
I'll save you the trouble...Chips going to select Jake Fisher
Isn't the draft in May now
Updated to include Randall
QuoteHe (Agholor) needs to improve his hands as he is prone to some drops. Agholor is a quick receiver who lacks elite speed or size, but he is a good route-runner who is skilled after the catch. Agholor also could contribute on special teams in the NFL.
Hey, Josh Huff!
Good God there's a ton of WRs in this year's draft. They can't possibly mess this up.
If they nab two good ones hopefully it's adios to KKK

He was perhaps the most horrible starting WR in football last year so I figured getting rid of him would be high on the priority list, despite the contract.
If they fail to bring in at least one FA WR though, I think we're stuck with this icehole again.
Updated to include McKinney
He's a good player who I wouldn't mind seeing them grab

Today was a good day. https://instagram.com/p/0TbGP0m3U1/
(Arizona State WR from Philly, for those that don't follow college football)
Watched a lot of Pac 12 (Do it for Chip!) football and it's safe to say Jalen Strong is a beast. Guy had two epic games against UCLA and USC. He went balistic against UCLA. Got no problem with this.
Agreed - love his game
Looks like Utah DB Eric Rowe might be a possibility at #20 (or hopefully a trade down). Chip and crew were at the Utes pro day to see him, and latest reports are that he's jumped from a 3rd/4th-round pick to a 2nd, possibly sneaking into the 1st. 6'1" 205, 4.45, played FS his first three years before moving to CB this past season
That would be another joke of a first round pick. Rowe is a quality prospect, but laughable to take him at #20. If Chip does that, he's a moron. He'd be reaching for a safety. I'm not even sure I'd take him in the second round.
do you even twitter bro?

doubt they will eat his dead money. sorry, you're stuck with jethro one more season.
They clearly give no fargs about dead money this year, so that's not the reason they'll keep him.
Terry Poole, SDSU OL, is visiting.
Also Wake Forest CB Kevin Johnson, USC TE Randall Telfer and Georgia WR Chris Conley
Conley could be a nice pick up
KJ does everything well, nothing great. Good size, good speed, but nothing exemplary.
One thing that does standout is he plays pissed off. He had some vicious hits that you don't see from CBs usually.
I can't say I watched much of Wake ball but he seems to be bigger - did he play any safety or was he strictly a corner?
I like corners who can come up and play the run strong.
Corner. He has good size. Good speed for his size.
Don't blame you for not watching. The offense was probably the worst in the BCS this year. He did a pretty good job on opposing teams #1. Didn't think he was great his first two years but came on junior year and was obviously the best player on the team this past season. He's almost too physical. Could've been flagged for head hunting across the middle some.

I like that he's got an attitude...who would you compare his game to in the NFL? Cary?
He's different than Cary because he plays off. Cary didn't. He also has a 41.5 vert which was second best at combine.
If you want an idea of him against elite competition I'm attaching the FSU game video. One of his massive hits is in there.

not a bad pick if collins is gone. assuming the eagles stay at #20.
what if randy gregory falls to 20 because of his latest pot fail ?
Then you take Randy Gregory - but he has to work to get past the two first names thing.
Navy LS Joe Cardona is visiting
can he do magic? if not i want no part of him.
@Tim_McManus: Eagles had UCLA DE/OLB prospect Owa Odighizuwa in for a visit yesterday, per source.

QuotePer a source with knowledge of the situation, receiver Breshad Perriman will visit the Eagles on Thursday. It's one of 18 pre-draft visits or private workouts for Perriman prior to the draft.
He visited the Lions and Ravens this week, and he has had private workouts with the Giants and Texans.
At his Pro Day workout last week, Perriman ran the 40-yard dash in 4.27 seconds. (Perriman didn't run at the Scouting Combine, due to a hamstring injury.)
At six-three and 215 pounds, Perriman fits Chip Kelly's preference for tall receivers. Last season, Perriman caught 50 passes for 1,044 yards (20.88 yards per catch) and nine touchdowns. NFL Network's Mike Mayock recently included Perriman in a group of four receivers Mayock expects to be taken in the first 20 picks
wow

Marynowitz PC going on now...
Said that Reid was more willing to take a risk on a smaller players (as we know...Westbrook, etc) than Chip. Chip has height/weight/speed restrictions and if a player doesn't fit his criteria he better be exceptional in other areas.
He also said that this draft is strong at OL, CB and WR in the middle rounds....which is good because the Eagles need depth at all three

I miss Reno :(
It wasn't that Reid was willing to take a risk on a smaller player, it was that he thought RBs and defensive linemen should be the same size.
I love the draft and can't wait, but I'm not reading up on players like I was previous years. Part of it is I have no idea what chip is going to do. There's usually a handful of players we think they may go after.
Early prediction is they move up for a receiver or corner then they trade a mid round pick for a safety. No idea who may be available but there are too many needs to address with just rookies.
honestly all I want out of this draft if for chip to take one or two players who don't fit his idea of the perfect player....a super athlete who doesn't have ideal size...a guy who doesn't have a stellar off the field reputation or work ethic....a guy who cant play two positions...a guy who hates smoothies....in a vacuum all chips desirables in a player seem completely rational and even smart...but the problem is in the big picture you eliminate so many potentially great players from consideration even before the draft starts
my dream pick in this draft is for randy Gregory to fall to the eagles and chip take him....not even because of gregory but because it would show me that chip will come off his philosophy of what it takes to be a philadelphia eagle.........a guy i love is senquez golson....but hes 5'9 so I know theres no chance of getting him
chips size/culture over talent MO takes a lot of the hope and thus fun out of the draft for me
The Mariota topic has been beaten to death so taking that out of the equation who does everyone want in the draft? I think the birds move up for either a receiver or cb. Maybe they trade a 3rd or 4th for some safety depth. I wouldn't mind Jake Fisher somewhere in the second but if Chip takes him at 20 shteins getting broken. I could see them moving Kendricks, Curry or Boykin to move up.
Not a Duck. A player that was expected to be drafted before the third round. Not a RB or TE.

unless you are going way up to get amari cooper or kevin white to try and hit a home run theres no need to move for a wr...theres plenty of quality in rounds 1-2
as for the pick at 20 short of a randy gregory or shane ray plummeting you gotta go wr....my choice would be phillip dorsett but im sure hes to small for chip
Would you move up for Trae Wayne's? I have no problem with them sitting at 20 and taking bpa.
Quote from: SD on April 26, 2015, 11:07:19 AM

i wouldnt...i dont think its crazy to think he might be there at 20...id also be really happy with byron jones at 20...in fact id rather have jones than waynes...
unless someone unexpectedly falls i dont think theres a player in the draft who is going to be on the board btwn lets say 12-19 that is worth moving up for...right now without knowing who is going to be there my inclination would be to move back if they can
Byron Jones is who I have them taking. Perfect Chip guy (tall cb, senior, captain, safety converted to corner)...if he went to Oregon the circle would be complete. Would love Jones at 20.
Yeah trading up for a WR would be pointless unless it was White or Cooper and they'll be too high up for them.
I would prefer to see them stay at 20 or even trade back a couple picks if a good deal is there to be had.
Jaelen Strong, Trae Waynes, Nelson Agholor, Byron Jones...all could be there to be had at 20. I have a feeling its going to be Agholor
Jones or WR

I think they stay put at 20 and take Jake Fisher. Yes it's early for him, and maybe they try to trade down but Chip will say he got their guy.

i think you are confusing strong with devante parker....strong is probably a second rounder....hes slow and cant get seperation....hes basically a mirror image of jordan matthews...nothing terribly wrong with that....but they better not be taking that guy at 20
You like Agholor?
yeah i do....id put him slightly behind phillip dorsett and perriman but id be happy with any one of them in the first round
I would love Perriman.
Odds they trade Cox or Kendricks?
Because if they do I may not survive the inevitable mental breakdown afterwards
i cant even put odds on it....i honestly have no farging clue
all i know is if he deals either one it better be for mariota....not that i would support that deal but at least in theory you are getting a franchise qb....if he trades kendricks to move up five spots in the first round to take devante parker or some random non qb player then ill lose it
I have a bad feeling that he unloads him and Boykin

Add another name to the list of Eagles players who could be traded before, during, or after the NFL Draft.
According to a person with knowledge of the situation, but requested anonymity because he was not authorized to speak on the matter, the Eagles could be looking to move last year's No. 1 pick, Marcus Smith.
"I don't think they'll flat out give him away,'' he said. "But if they can use him in a package to move up, I think they'll do it. I'm not just talking about the first round. They could use him in the second, or even third round, too.''
One scenario could have Smith perhaps going to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for linebacker Dion Jordan, with some picks, or other players, involved as well. Jordan, the Dolphins' 2013 first-round pick, has been a major disappointment.
If that were to happen it wouldn't be the first time the Eagles made a trade that involved two first-round picks that didn't work out. In 1999, the Eagles traded 1997 first-round pick defensive end Jon Harris to the Green Bay Packers for offensive lineman John Michaels, also a '97 first-round pick. The change of scenery didn't help either player.
You have to go back a little further to see the last time an Eagles first-round pick played just one season for the team. That would be 1994 first-round pick Bernard Williams, who was suspended for testing positive for marijuana use, and never returned to the league.
Smith was the 26th pick of last year's draft after the Eagles traded down from the 21st spot to select the linebacker from Louisville, who finished second in the nation in sacks in college with 14 1/2.
It was a rough rookie year for him, however, as he played on defense in just six of 16 games and was involved in a total of 68 defensive plays, or six percent of the defensive snaps. After playing 14 snaps in an easy win over Tennessee, Smith did not see the field on defense the final five games of the season.
When the Eagles selected Smith in the first round last year, considered a reach by many, they let it be known that there were teams picking later in the first and early in the second who would have taken him. If any of those teams are still interested he may be available.
It's Eckel so take it fwiw. If they could get a decent pick for him go for it, otherwise let it ride out and see what he has.
Why not offer Smith to the Browns for Manziel. They want to wash their hands with him. We need to keep this circus going.
Eckel is really going out on a limb with that one.
They'd trade Smith? Oh no shtein?
Haha right?

wait, nuggets or "mcnuggets" ?
yes, its important, could be a deal breaker.
Chip would trade anyone for the right price. Surely we know that by now.
The right price for Smith would be quite low.
The problem is there isn't a player injured enough anywhere in the NFL to make it a fair trade.
Any time Jon Harris is mentioned in a story about a player, well, it ain't good. For anyone.
