@jasonrmcintyre: Fox says Detroit-Dallas drew 42.3 million viewers on Fox.
Dallas/Green Bay could hit what, 55 million?
What say you, Siskel & Todd?
the projection was for 50+
the last time the cowboys were in a 1pm sunday divisional game they drew 38 mil vs. favre's vikings. that was a monster matchup and did about as well as a 1pm game can do. simply put, more people are in front of their TVs on sunday evening than sunday afternoon.
i would guess anywhere from 40-45 which has to be record for that timeslot. in a perfect world this would be the 430 game and it would possibly top 60 if it was.

...so, you can put him down for 4 this weekend?
guards rarely give up sacks
Yeah, you don't get a lot of sacks from DTs. In 2014 regular season, the top DT sack count was ten and only one DT (Marcelle Dareous, BUF)) had double digit sacks. Of the top 50 players in sacks, 8 were DTs.

and a lot of those sacks are because the qb was pressured from the outside and had to step up into a DT...thus the guard didnt get beat...not very often does a guard get cleanly beat...theres just to much going on inside a small area plus one of the G's is often getting help from the center
Can I watch this weekend's games online? Not on some bootleg stream but on like NBCSports, NFL.com or FOX/CBS?
I will be in a spot that doesn't have cable but does have wifi access.
I have directv and I can watch programs on my phone and laptop but it doesn't give me access to the local channels on devices.
Help a brotha out

In my experience, these streams are significantly worse quality than the best illegal streams.
i want to say fox and nbc have live streams going.. cbs to my knowledge does not.

Ok cool thanks...which is the best streaming site then QB?
I think I remember NBC having it...
This guy's twitter page usually points to HD games.

The official streams usually seem overloaded, skipping all around and generally being crappy.
i haven't had cable in over a year but if you have comcast at home you can do almost anything through xfinity online. or just use a friend's login like i do. i think he's right though that cbs is the only one you can't stream no problem.
Nah I've got directv and for whatever reason I can watch everything from channel 200 up on mobile devices and laptops but not the local channels.
broadcast channels have different regulations than cable....they are the public airwaves.
just click on the links and watch them. theyll most likely be OK. if not try that top based stream shtein gf linked.

The balls on Harbaugh to go for it. Kubiak with a great play call. Smith beats his man cold. Flacco sees it and passes up a great opportunity for either a big catch or a PI. Gets both.
Next play, pass to Forsett in the flat for an easy 16 yard touchdown.
Flacco with 4 TDs. Pats in trouble.
Ha.
Flacco four TDs
Pats D has mailed this one in -- Forsett wiiiiide open

The stream I have doesn't cut to commercial, so I can hear the production of the game during the breaks. Collinsworth just told Al Michaels, "See, I told ya we'd eventually get a good game. I didn't know it was going to the second last game of the year though."
Flacco's good, but he's not Eli Manning good.
That was a team winning a big playoff game without running the ball at all. The traditional running game is extinct.

Phreak, just to recap those close numbers:
Roethlisburger has 2 years out of 11 with a QB rating below 90. McNabb's career average is 85.6, roughly Andy Dalton level. Roethlisburger has thrown for 4000 yards 4 times, something McNabb has done.... never. Roethlisburger won two Super Bowls, McNabb puked in the Super Bowl and threw three interceptions.

Roethlisburger has thrown at least two women up against a bathroom wall to farg them against their will. McNabb threw worm burners and his teammates under the bus and used the Giants sideline phone against their will. Somehow Ben wins even that comparison.

I watched the last couple of minutes of the Pats game and thought back to the Super Bowl in Jacksonville. The Pats still have their starting quarterback and the Eagles, well, not so much. I don't know who I'd take between Ben and McNabb, but let's be honest about their numbers....the NFL was a different game in the early-mid 2000's when McNabb was in his prime, and Ben has had Hines Ward and Antonio Brown his entire career. McNabb spent the first 5 years of his career with nothing to throw too.
Yes, Ben proved to be clutch in the big games...but, yes, he had a better supporting cast.
Or maybe Hines Ward was an above average possession receiver who Ben made look good.

Rule says you have to control the ball all the way through. The ball hit the ground and was bobbled before he secured the catch. He didn't make a football move before he went down. Call was correct. It was reviewed. No way they overturn that in that situation unless they're 1000% sure.

It's a terrible, terrible, terrible farging rule. But, according to the wording of that rule, it's not a catch.
To me? eye test? It's a catch. And the rule needs to be changed.
Manning looks like ass. So many overthrows.
You have to control to the ground unless you're making a football move first. Looked to me like he stretched for the goal which counts (I would think anyway). Definitely not enough to overturn but ill take it.
there was plenty to over turn it....it was a catch but the rule is stupid. the rule says it wasnt a catch.
all in all dallas lost so its probably a good thing, though another week of christie jokes would be fine by me
I don't see how you can say definitively (which is what you need to show) that he wasn't stretching to the goal line therefore making a football move. He had possession before that. So if that's a football move its a catch. Different than Megatron situation. You have to conclusively show the act of him stretching the ball to the end zone was not a football move and I don't see how you can determine that.
The rules have made it easier and easier for receivers to make catches, so I'm running out of sympathy for them when they're asked to hold on to it a little tighter. Also farg Dallas, but meh to every player on offense or defense that cries about it anymore.
Also, a big farg you the 200+ players each week that do ref signals for catches, safeties, first downs, and what have you. Just go out there and damage your brains for my entertainment without getting emotional about it.

he 100% had control....it was a catch
He had two feet with control. Control needs to be maintained when going to the ground in the process of making the catch unless you make a football move first. If they determine he made a football move first (stretching to the end zone) you don't need to maintain control through to the ground which is when it came loose.

The torch has officially been passed. As a veteran QB it's 2 things u don't want to happen especially toward the end of your career.
1. You don't want to get to the end of your career and lose to the team that you felt like they turned their back on you while you were down.
2. To lose to the guy they drafted to replace you for the future of the franchise. And they also said he was the best since John Elway not u

Well, farg. I can understand the call but I didn't see indisputable evidence to overturn it. My brother and one cousin are Packers fans and they both said if that was Jordy Nelson, they would be pissed as well. It might be "by the book" but it's a crappy rule. Still a great effort by Bryant. Maybe if he just goes down instead of trying to score, it turns out differently. I've been a football fan for 43 years and they need to go way back in time and eliminate some of these ridiculous, inconsistently enforced rules.
Oh well, it's not the only reason we lost. Murray drops the rock on what could have been a long TD run. There was a golden opportunity when Cobb fumbled the one return but we couldn't manage to recover it. Still can't rush the passer even when the QB is gimpy and still can't cover worth a damn. I won't complain too much because before the season and after the SF game, I would have called anyone that predicted double double digit wins and 1 of those mythical playoff wins a head case. It's a bitter pill to swallow seeing Indy in the playoffs, knowing we beat their asses handily.
Farg, that uncatch is going to haunt me almost as much as The Catch. Even worse, I have Packer fans in my family, some going back to the Lombardi years that are trolling me over this game.
Marinelli looks to be on the way out so who knows what clown we bring in to run the ragtag defense. What a farging season. The clowns of Arlington dang near pulled me back into homer mode for the first time in years. Right now I'm into my 11th 12th 13th 14th beer. *hic*
This has been one of the ultimate NFL parity seasons, damn near everyone that made the playoffs had a chance at a title. I hope it ends up being a Colts/Packers SB and the Packers get their asses handed to them. I can't stand them.
Oh well, wait until next year, I guess. Here's to a good off season for your guys.
Turns out Peyton tore his right quad against the Chargers a month ago, confirmed by MRI
