Scott's shtick got kind of old, imo, but no doubt he has some legendary catchphrases to his credit. Didnt have cable as a kid so I never saw SC until I was on my own....like 95 or 96 was the first time I saw it. I remember thinking at the time how great Scott (and everyone else) was because his delivery was fun and loose and had some flavor to it....basically the exact opposite of the stiffs working as sports anchors at most local networks. He was good shtein.

Joking aside, one of these is my actual request. They don't embalm, use chemicals, etc. You're buried 3 feet down, rather than six, so the worms can get you. Worms don't go six feet down. No casket, just a quick decomposition back into dirt. Simple, clean, cheap. No head stone. The cemetary looks like a park. Great idea.

I truly don't care what people do to my corpse. Throw it in the city dump, prop it up at a bar, hang it in a haunted house, gang rape it for all I care. Maybe someone can sneak it into an Eagle game. If anyone cares about me when I croak and they don't want to see me like that, burning would be fine. For me, cemeteries are up there with golf courses when it comes to wasted space. I really don't get that way of remembering people.

My wife used to work head neck and throat post op. Lots of drinkers with mouth and throat cancer, not to mention the smokers. That made things tough for a while on account of my drinking, but it was solved when she stopped working there and we stopped talking about my imminent esophogial cancer.
My father had esophageal issues and of course cirrhosis from the booze and drugs. The 70s were his prime and he died in '82.
Mine finally succumbed to oral cancer. I'm kind of surprised his liver wasn't the weak point. He enjoyed a lovely bout of Wernicke–Korsakoff syndrome, which didn't slow him down much. It eventually drove my mother to move out. Ironically, she died first from lung (and eventually) brain cancer.
Farg...now I'm depressed, and I need a drink.
