i don't mind the pick itself....but the complete and thorough adherence to the "plan" is absolutely amazing....it really is like a cult
Everybody dies of AIDS
another reach. and with Moncreif still on the board?? don't like it. plus, doesn't have some kind of troubled history?
NFL.com had him projected as a 5th or 6th rounder. Also,
QuoteBOTTOM LINE Smooth, competitive, versatile receiver with an impressive skill set which translates well to the evolution of NFL offenses. Can work at flanker or slot and has potential to become a No. 2 or No. 3 receiver in a system incorporating spread concepts. Is the type of player you root for, having persevered through an adverse upbringing and lingering baggage, which forced him to mature the hard way. Would be best served landing in a close-knit locker room with a nurturing position coach.
I mean he was pretty good at Oregon and made quite a bit of plays but this is a head scratcher
However I defer to the guy who knows him better than anyone. Chip's like a father to him
I wonder how Sunny is feeling about all this?
@LesBowen: Chip: huff great position versatility. Can return kicks. Physical, nasty.

if you count your head getting bashed in with a wood beam by ma dooks then yeah he had some trouble
i would have went elsewhere with the pick but in a vacuum i like it....and like huff more than matthews
however i don't really get taking them both and the fact that they spent a pick to get matthews makes it even more curious

I can somewhat see taking both, one for the slot and one for the X, but it also seems to me they could have stayed put and got Matthews or somebody just as good.
Wonder if it means they're not as optimistic about Maclin's knee as we think?

in both cases you could have gotten better players....but yeah at least for huff they didnt trade up
the thing with huff and matthews is that their skill set is very similar...one guy is bigger...but they bring pretty much the same thing to field
if you are going to go back to back with wr's then go with donte moncrief or john brown who bring a totally different dimension
instead chip took two guys he loves as people more than players

They probably would have kept Jackson if that were the case, even if he is some kind of alleged idiot manchild in the locker room who shteins all over Chip any chance he gets.

pimp could have missed a flight that crashed with the entire wr corps on it and he was still getting released
Why would a flight only have two guys on it?
Flying in a Cessna?
I'm on public transportation. People smell.

Let's hope he doesn't smuggle drugs in his bum and od during camp.
Haha
in this interview its the second time chip has mentioned huff playing rb at oregon....i wonder if he doesnt get a little run there as a shady back up
sproles who?
NFL Comparison: Antonio Brown, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers
We can only hope.
Nm
Reminds me of the saints offense a little. No real superstars (I don't count Colston). Lots of interchangeable solid pieces on O. Obviously Shady is a difference maker. But the flexibility seems the same.
or the patriots
chip clearly feels that his play and route designs will get people open or at the least in positions to make plays....at that point they need to catch the ball and the ball needs to be put where its supposed to be
if nick foles turns into a hall of fame qb (brady/brees) it might just work
Agrees to a 4 year deal.
QuoteAsked what happened, Huff said: "Nothing happened. I did my job. That's all. Anything else?"
Did he feel like he was well-positioned to make the tackle?
"I was just doing what the coaches told me to do," Huff said. "They told me to slow down before I got to the returner, that's what I did, and that was the end result. I was in position to make the play, but I was just doing what the coaches told me to do - slow down before you get to the returner . . . That's what I did."
the eagles dont really have any detestable guys...just jesus freaks and hipsters. oh yea, and josh hough.
go away, go away. you not john brown motherfarger.

so you are going to blame the same coaches that are trying to teach some talent into you? just admit you missed the farging tackle and move on with your life into the unemployment line. at this point i'd rather see maehl active than this clown. what's mind blowing is he's not even the worst active WR.. i think cooper actually had a catch today.
quickly replacing Sam Hinkie as the biggest a hole in town. RAJ is in a class of his own.
He's a real piece of work.
icehole status reached and hasn't even completed his rookie year
he does something wrong every single game
for a 7-3 team to have mac/kkk/old man matthews/hough is amazing
There's just some guys who aren't good football players, doesn't matter where you line em up they find a way to suck. Huff is the epitome of that guy.
so two of the 1st three picks from the draft suck or cant even get in a game during garbage time. :yay

Not just wrong, but colossally, game-changingly wrong. He's farging awful and needs to go the farg away.
It's one thing to make mistakes. Especially as a rookie.
But to be standoffish and flippant? Not good at all.
he knows he can do anything he wants cause oregon chip got his back...he was one of chips all time favorite guys there
So he got all huffy about it?
Haha Rome wants to dry hump your leg for that one!

He released the most popular player on the team after his best season and it was a position of need...if you think he'd hesitate to release his buddy from Oregon you're wrong. I'm sure a reporter will ask chip about it and he'll givevthe standard "josh is just frustrated" response...but if the farg ups continue he's gone
he knew desean for five minutes and they hated each other...he recruited huff and watched a kid he absolutely loved to death grow up and get his degree....the differences in the relationship btwn huff and anyone else on the team much less pimp couldnt be bigger....huff literally cried when he found out he was going to play for chip again....chip is his surrogette father
im sure huff could do something to get cut but it would have to be catastrophic and his leash is the longest on the team
I still prefer Huff to KKKooper
NFC Special Teams player of the week....the first Eagle rookie to ever win it
Josh Huff thinks he's a bad ass because he does cool things against shtein teams.
