Title: Divisional Round Weekend - 2014
Post by: ice grillin you on January 08, 2014, 09:52:17 AM
you wanna know why eagle fans shouldnt just be happy they made the playoffs

since 2005 when parity really took hold in the nfl six seeds are 6-2 vs. one seeds

the eagles have been to this weekend 1 time since 2004

it could be worse....but jesus christ this franchise stinks

Kevin Burkhardt is part of the Mets team during baseball...he's the sideline guy.

The game is over. NO stands no chance.

marshawn lynch rushing yards 1st half - 74
eagles entire roster rushing yards vs. NO for the game - 80

Seattle's defense is ten times better than the slop the Eagles throw out there.  They have playmakers all over the place.  Once the Eagles get similar talent they're going to be able to dictate a lot more than they're remotely capable of at this point.

Only if they let Brees try to throw more than 3 yards downfield.

Whether it works or not I dunno but it's the only way the saints make this a real game.

sure its possible....but you say it so matter a factly like howie just needs time to crank out a couple more draft masterpieces and then bilololy davis needs to coach em up and voila!....dominant defense

if i had to bet i would say the eagles dont have a defense as good as seattles in our lifetime

my hope is that they have one as good the jim johnson defenses sometime in the next decade

Why keep running the ball on 3rd and 4? It's baffling they'd give it to a midget in that situation

i dont a flying farg what their numbers were this year if you watch kaep and still think foles is a better qb for the eagles offense then just kill yourself

Troll.  No one has said that.

But for the sake of argument: So what if he's not better than Kaep?   He's better than the odds are that your dream "Kelly system" QB can be found.

lol now its a dream to get a qb who isnt a sloth

lol - who said he wasn't?  oh, that's right... no one ever.

and i'm 99.9 percent sure san fran isn't trading him to the eagles at this point, so dry your tears, mary.

its not about kaep dummy...i think we all know they arent getting him....its about having a mobile strong armed qb and 99% of the fanbase says they dont need that because foles is just fine

jesus i hate ignorance

how do you feel about irony?  are you a fan of that?

dio is right, dude.  your trolling is just out of control.   please stop.

Their defenses have a lot to do with that 2nd/3rd round thing, man.

My take on Wilson, and to a lesser extent Kap, is that we have yet to see them shoulder it and win games on their own. Running game not working? Defense having an off day? The real deal studs will shoulder that and win it with their arms and legs.

Have either done that yet?

How many QBs were taken that year, and how many are as good as those two?  How many that good do you think there are in the draft?  You think you can just get a third round QB and because the kid has legs, plug him in and do as well or better than Foles has done?

Andy tried to trade for Kaepernick and draft Wilson.   They ended up with a Pro Bowl quarterback in Foles instead.

ohmygodthehorror.

the reason mobile qb's are so important in an offense like chips is because when certain things arent working....like an off day by the oline or the receivers cant get loose or the running game is dead or maybe the qb himself is just off....you have the threat of a option run or a scramble or move the pocket...foles is a farging statue...theres no plan b with him

i dont know.....who knew what russell wilson or kaep would do before they were drafted

i just know that as long as chip is here the eagles cant settle with foles

and im pretty sure chip feels the same way

I just don't see QB as pressing of a need to use anything higher than a 3rd. Obviously there are exceptions like if Boyd fell to the Eagles in the 2nd. I'm pretty sure Chip feels the same way.

Worse yet, they hired Chip Kelly and gave him Michael Vick. I'm sure he'd like more too, but I hope he understands he's operating under the constraints of player availability and cost in relation to the value of what he already has. Regardless, Howie is making the player personnel decisions.

stanley havilli is in the playoffs and shady mccoy is not

So is Andy Studebaker and Mike Mcglynn

Maybe we should just watch hockey. Oh wait.

And there's no way you try to replace Foles until you see what his ceiling is, or at least if he can come anywhere near close to what he did this year. Of all the (offensive) HCs in the league Chip is probably most likely to adapt his offense to what he has.

i agree you cant replace him this year....public relations wise its way to risky with the super numbers he put up....but you saw his ceiling this year...and theres no adapting to nick foles...its eliminating...as in voiding a large part of your playbook

but maybe chip is cool with that
