who to root for this week??
ascending new york who are 1.5 games back
descending dallas who are .5 games back
seems weird to root for a team to tie the birds for first but i want dallas to win. eli/coughlin scare me much more down the stretch than romo. the farther back the giants are the better.
Yeah I agree with that.
Plus it will be that much sweeter when Dallas blows it at the end of the year
I've seen enough Eli playoff bullshtein magic, so if they're not going to tie and the stadium isn't going to blow up, I'll just hope for a Giants loss.
As always when these fargers play in cheering for an asteroid to smash the both of em.
i think you gotta go giants for two reasons
1. the eagles would have a much harder time winning a tiebreaker vs dallas
which makess two even more important....
2. more than likely only one team going to make the playoffs out of the nfce so being in first is most important....id rather have a one game lead over anyone than be tied with a team that has a tiebreaker advantage on me
of course none of this means anything if you think the giants are going to finish ahead of the cowboys.....clearly the giants have history on their side but im not a history guy
The Giants are the lesser of two evils.
Go space rocks.
Remaining giants schedule seems more difficult to me. Rooting for a NY win.
A - for asteroid hitting the stadium
the giants absolutely suck
theres nothing stopping dallas from winning that week 17 game
gotta go giants. theyll fall down eventually.

That logic is flawed. The Giants usually run at the end, and the Cowboys typically fall apart late. I hate both teams, but I want the Cowboys to win this one, I think. I'm a little biased because I live in the heart of Giants country. I seriously can't handle another lucky-ass run to the playoffs for the Giants. I just can't.
The Giants are not going to make the playoffs. Believing history is stupid. Look at the teams they beat (Freeman, Barkley, Pryor, Tolzien). Look at their remaining schedule. Look at their record. Watch their games. They suck. Worse than the Eagles, worse than the Cowboys.
I'm going to root for the team that has absolutely zero chance of making the playoffs. That would be the NY Giants.

Plus when you have the sole lead coming out of the byes, first place is yours to lose. The Eagles just have to take care of business. The Eagles have a tough schedule down the stretch in my opinion and might be worse than 4 of the 5 teams they face. I want space between them and whatever challengers are behind them. They have to be two games up on the 'Boys going into the final week to avoid it being the NFCE Championship.
the giants can easily win this game because its the friggin cowboys
but really they are just god awful. just terrible. not about playing better in week 13 or whatever. they just flat out suck.

i dont know if its tough or its just not the absolute dreck they have been playing the last seven weeks.....the three "tough" games are all at home...and yeah i know the eagles suck at home but to get detroit outside on grass and arizona anywhere on the road are big deals....i think chicago is a loss...
either way its going to be interesting to see if the eagles have improved enough to beat teams with winning records or are they still the team who started out 3-5....at the very least we know the qb position is exponentially improved
Looking like a tie in Lambeau
thats gonna screw up the standings....i hate ties
how do you punt with 4th and 5 at midfield in OT with 2 mins left if you're minnesota? WTF does a tie get you there?
Adios Leslie.
Did anyone see the end of the Chiefs/Chargers game? There's the Andy we all know and love.
Calls timeout with 1:20 left rather than running the clock down to nothing or at least forcing the Chargers to call it. Hell, even Phil Simms was scratching his head about it.
The 5-6 Steelers hold the second wildcard in the AFC right now
Whoever wins the Tennessee/Oakland game will take it from them
arizona is for real....we are going to find out a lot about the eagles next sunday
Is there anything worse than seeing a player get a TD because nobody bothered to touch him while he was down?
when the player who didnt touch the guy was also the one who got toasted on the route

yep their D for sure. Palmer and the O has been holding them back all year, but he's playing better recently. Still big they are playing in Philly but I think you'll learn a lot about foles this game.
QuoteMT @RobertKlemko: I heard multiple Packers admit they expected a second overtime, didn't know they could tie
heck of a game
Sound like Andy Reid there buddy.
Dallas now holds the tiebreaker if they beat Washington
So we're still technically in first?
No, Dallas beat us
Two fumbles, two TDs....Denver up 14-0 early
Make that three fumbles...holy shtein
Blount got hit like he did to the Boise dude...straight dropped
Thanks Ed, that's what I thought.
Wouldn't be happier if the Eagles could win it in Dallas dramatically and knock them out of the playoffs. It might not have to come down to that if the Eagles handle their business these next few weeks.
The one time I want the Giants to win those cocks can't pull it off.
Die.
This SNF game has been interesting. Denver up 24-0 at the half, everyone goes to bed, NE scores 31 unanswered, Denver comes back with a TD drive to tie it 31-31 with 3 mins left
Great game
Hoody taking the wind in overtime...wow.
Marty Mornhinweg is vindicated!

Hoody taking the wind in overtime...wow.
especially considering how well Moreno had been running the ball, mitigates some of the wind factor
I kinda want to see a couple more punts just to find out if Moreno can get 300 out of this.
He looks half dead on the sideline
I think that's just paint from the hash marks. And also the big gaping wounds on his arms.
Morhinweg's wind decision was 11yrs ago today
I'd love to see another tie today.
lolololololol the 2nd tie of the day just got nixed by some idiot not hearing the "kill!" call on a punt return.
And didn't even notice when the ball hit him in the hand. Super.
Welker blatantly late called for everyone to move away to give the Pats the win. Collusion! Collusion!
bummer of a way to end the game
Tony Dungy is a space alien who has come here to teach us.

Touch his finger!
Definitely the only way those bastiches won in '02 was with the space alien help they retained. Sapp's another one. Musta been blowing the MIB.
when belicheat took the wind i wanted them to lose
how does this even happen...and everyone was slurping him because hes BILL BELICHICK
i dont think the wind thing is that big a deal with the new ot rules
the thing that giving hoody a woody has to be Edelman way outplaying welker....you know that bastich is estatic about that
you're not guaranteed a possession if the other team scores a td first.
i went to bed at 24-0. soooo glad i don't have to work today. my boss (denver fan) is going to be unbearable. he always is when they lose but especially if they lose like that.

correct
im not saying i agree with the call (i wasnt on the field) i just dont think its the coaching blunder that it would have been before the new rules
that was one of the most fun non-eagle games i've watched in a long time. everyone at the bar, myself included, was completely tore up by the end of it.
