Other than Barkley, Ertz, and Lane Johnson, I can't think of anyone else they drafted (not that they will necessarily make any impact).
We're pretty farged aren't we.
barkley is atrocious and will make no positive impact next year
if ertz and johson live up to their respective draft positions then id say the draft is a success regardless of what anyone else does but you should have included earl wolff as well...and im not a fan but a lot of people like bennie logan
its too early to say they are "farged" by the 2013 draft but it certainly has not started well
what year was Boykin drafted?
2012
Second guessing the hamster:
1st round: Either Kenny Vaccaro or Star Lotulelei
2nd round: Geno Smith or Kiko Alonso (I am happy with Ertz but would have preferred Geno over Barkley)
3rd round: Terrance Williams or Tyrann Mathieu
you've seen enough from ertz to be happy with him? ive seen him make a few plays but also have some drops. i wouldn't say that pick is a slam dunk by any stretch. kiko is ridiculous
ertz is a younger version of celek...i dont understand the nfl's obsession with taking these easily replaceable te's so high....the kyle rudolphs....tyler eiferts...coby fleeners...zach ertzs in the first and seconds rounds make no sense to me
unless you are athletically on another level i feel like a te is going to be as good as his qb
I know, should have gotten an athletic specimen like LJ Smith!
yea they're all busts fire Howie (http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/sports/eagles/The-Eagles-2012-and-2013-draft-classes-could-be-the-franchises-foundation.html)
That article is a Lurielapper:
QuoteWhile his numbers would say otherwise, Barkley showed enough in his two appearances that he can hang in the NFL.
That was a pretty homertastic article.
lol at that article
I like how it uses combine stats. Now that I can watch these guys play football against other NFL talent and make my judgements directly based on that, why would I care how high they jumped a couple years ago? So that next time I see Lane Johnson get pushed around I can say to the guy next to me at the bar, "Okay, but just wait until you see him in the 3 cone drill."
I have to admit, it's pretty amazing that Foles actually has a better QB rating that Peyton Manning. That surprised me.
There were some good points made in that piece. Not all, obviously, but some of them were spot on.
If the point of the article is that the Eagles drafted some NFL caliber players over the last 2 years, then I agree.
But I don't think that was the point. I think it's too early to star campaigning for Canton.

That was a pretty homertastic article.
off the charts...holy shtein.....you know homer easy spewed all over it
the eagles beat the raiders a rodgersless packers team and washington and all of a sudden nick foles is their franchise qb and bennie friggin logan is changing their entire draft philosophy for next year?
the most impressive part of this season hasnt been anyone they have drafted (altho clearly fletcher cox is LEGIT)...its that as a rookie coach chipper has taken mostly someone elses roster and kept it together after a 1-3 (with a denver thrashing in there) and 3-5 start...again the schedule has been super kind and they havent beaten a single even average team but im pleasantly surprised with chip so far....also lets be honest if vick doesn't get hurt this team could easily be 2-9 or 3-8 even with two straight HOF draft classes
Cox is the truth. He's been blowing up the middle of the field all year, and whats impressive is his speed once he clears the OL. Logan has been better than I was expecting, but according to that article he's canton bound already.
as a fan you have to be happy with what you're seeing and know that kelly is getting more out of reid's players then the fatass ever wouldve.
now the lorax can sit on his nice regular season record and have his sack kissed by the national media but we all know the reality of what happens when coaching vs coaching becomes part of the outcome in the playoffs.
I'm buying Havas a Bennie Logan jersey
Black or Yellow Jackets throwback?
