Title: Planes, Hotels, and Automobiles
Post by: hbionic on July 27, 2013, 02:01:21 AM
I was about to pull the trigger on flights from L.A. to Denver. One way was $167 and return flight with a stop in Vegas was $111 about a week and a half ago.

A few days ago, the departing flight is now $172 and the return flight was $157.

Now, it's $172 departing and return flight is $180.

I've lost $74 for being a dipshtein.

Book now or is there a chance the rates go back down? I heard middle of the week is best time to book, but I feel like a big mule-dick has been shoved in my ass and it goes in deeper the longer I wait.

Book now?

A couple months ago I remember reading a study that had found that on average, tickets are cheapest around 45 days before takeoff. I don't know if that day has passed for you, or what.

I'm going to Hawaii in May, 10 months from now. My buddy already bought his ticket, hoping it would save money, like a dumbass. No way that's the case, since the airline isn't even close to worrying about whether or not they can fill the plane yet.
