Gotta hand it to those idiots, they do this the right way:

I don't think many other examples will be cited in this thread.
What about getting second round picks for terrible quarterbacks?
farg lehigh, that place is a dump
the one thing i will give the eagles is that they generally learn from their mistakes and have improved their decision making both with football related and non football related matters ten fold in the last 8-9 years
while they are far from the gold standard they definitely get a passing grade as an organization and their contributions to the community are second to none for any professional sports franchise
Wind Turbines.

They're pretty awesome at not winning Super Bowls.

We were at xfinity live a few weeks ago and still no signs of them. No complaints from me until they're actually up and being an eye sore.
Over-drafting white linebackers
Season tickets came in the mail today.
The 9/30 ticket made me squirt a little outta my pee-pee.

I tailgated at LFF for the Phils game today. There's a bunch of construction going on in the lot with these pentagon shaped holes carved out of the lot. Asked a cop what it was for and he said they're for the wind turbines. There's a shtein ton of them going up.
Good.
i go to games and think its great
i dont get why the parkling lot is carved up though
I'm assuming the lot is carved up because they have to run their own independent electrical system
wouldnt it just be torn up....why pentagon shaped cut outs?
Aliens?

Probably fits the footprint of the turbines.
wont the turbines be on top of the stadium.....or maybe i dont know what a turbine is....they are the actual "fans" arent they?
this is probably the explanation:
QuoteUnder the deal announced earlier this spring, energy and utility giant NRG will install 11,000 solar panels and 14 small-scale wind turbines at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. NRG reportedly plans to install solar panels along the south and west sides of the stadium as well as in parking lot space, with wind turbines lining the stadium's north and south sides. Construction is supposed to be complete by the end of 2012.
It's going to be a disaster
Not if they hired SunMo's crew to do the work

he means having a green stadium
my father in law works for a company associated with this work and he said the turbines are all PR bullshtein.
the real "green" part of the project are the huge steam turbines they are putting in the basement of the stadium. he said that it's real that they are doing things to actually generate their own power, but the wind turbines are rather insignificant when it comes to what they will produce.
turbines cant power the stadium during events but they will be the sole source of power when the stadium is "closed" and help out on game days
glad i tg in the wells fargo lot

So basically, they'll produce enough energy for the cash registers to keep ringing up customers in the Eagles store.

It seems they handle divorce better than most people.
This has Frank McCourt written all over it.
Nah, I don't think so. McCourt's case was public from the get go. There was infidelity and all sorts of ugly crap going on behind the scenes and the entire court battle revolved around ownership of the team. I don't know why they decided to divorce but it didn't play out publicly so I have to assume that it's been fairly amicable between the 2.
Jeff abused Christina in the press box that time when he slapped her in the face. That wasnt an accident.

QuoteA senior NFL official with direct knowledge of the settlement and Eagles ownership structure said that Lurie's ex-wife Christina owns only a small, non-voting share of the team, similar to those owned by Lurie partners Mike Michelson and Richard Green.
Lurie remains the only person with voting stock or management authority over the Eagles, according to sources, and owns a far greater percentage of his team than most NFL owners.
"There is no doubt who will own or control the Eagles going forward, and that is Jeffrey," said the senior official in an email. "Jeffrey is only 60 and will remain in control for decades. In fact, we think the Eagles will be in the Lurie family for generations because Jeffrey has been very thoughtful in how he has structured his affairs."
i wonder what the lurie kids think about promoting hebrew accountants to gm
Getting guys to sign 1-day contracts and retire. 3 of them this year (Dawk, Tra, now BWest). Where you at, Donovan?

Oh, I get it!
first two wind turbines have been installed at the linc....another five will be up before the game sunday....the remaining ones will be up next week
this thread would be better if it was empty and locked.
you won't be saying that when we are living in the self-sufficient linc during the zombie apocolypse.
