how about that. nice.

other than this QB nerd, not sure I could have hoped for a better draft. weird that they needed defense and actually went defense.

what did they get from the packers yesterday when they traded down in the second?

Brandon Boykin, Philadelphia Eagle

lol

Boykin was a steal where they got him. He broke his fibula last season so that hurt his draft position but a lot of mocks had him as a late 2nd/3rd round pick. Couldn't be happier with this pick. I'm unhappy with Foles in the 3rd but if they would have selected Boykin in the 3rd and Foles in the 4th I wouldn't have an issue so this is a win/win.

So for bright-future Kolb, WE got DRC, Curry and Boykin.

Eagles have a whole lot more upside, assuming Boinkin wasn't an olympic skier

according to Eagles twitter

Breaking down @BrandonBoykin2's INTs:
5 during a 1-possession lead
4 in 4th quarter
2 in red zone
2 ended games

I agree, Dio. Boykin needs to start playing well throughout the game; not just at the end.

Add him to the very short list of defensive players to not replace immediately.

QuoteReuben Frank ‏@RoobCSN 31m

Jaguars ran 31 snaps with three or four wide outs, but Boykin only played 23 snaps.

Good way to run him out of town, guys.

Play the man. He's too good to sit on the sidelines

Quote59 – That's Brandon Boykin's success rate, according to Football Outsiders. Success rate is defined as "the share of targets on which the corner prevented a successful gain (45 percent of needed yards on first down, 60 percent on second down and 100 percent on third down)."

Boykin's mark ranked tied for fifth in the entire NFL last season, behind only New England's Darrelle Revis, Indianapolis' Vontae Davis, Buffalo's Corey Graham and Houston's Kareem Jackson.

I remember Boykin saying he felt like he played better in 2014 than he did the year before. Many looked at interceptions (six in 2013; one in 2014), but if you look at success rate, the numbers back up his claim (he was at 56 percent in 2013). It doesn't seem like Eagles coaches are going to give him a shot on the outside, but Boykin will likely enter free agency at the age of 25 after this season, and someone's going to get a really good corner.

this makes me absolutely sick

very limited sample size but i thought boykin really struggled on the outside last preseason.  love him in the nickle though.

Title: Re: Brandon Boykin, Philadelphia Eagle

hes good but hes not overly talented....i mean hes talented in the sense that hes a skill position player in the nfl

luckily at running back you dont need to be able cut like barry sanders or run as fast as gayle sayers or have the size/speed combo of adrian peterson to be successful in the nfl....so demarco murray should have a huge year if the qb position and OL cooperate

Yeah, don't count on the QB position to do a heck of a lot this year. That's not exactly a safe bet.

well i clearly have more faith in bradford having a comeback year than you do but yes i agree the chances are not high that the qb position is going to produce in a big way

but system will help as well.....i think chip is better at x'ing and oh'ing holes in the running game than he is in getting people open via the passing game and hes very good at that....demarco murray et. al should have no problem finding lots of daylight this year unless the interior of the line just completely implodes (which is possible)
