Anyone got any guesses as to what that entails?
Fred Jackson 30-248-3 ?
Is that what it entails? I think so.

also according to my cable guide game 1 of the nlcs is at 400. like last week this is either going to be an awful or great doubleheader.
I can't believe we're getting it here. Great, can watch the first half in bed. How in the hell are they 3 point favorites?

lookin at it close i think the outer banks are part of the norfolk market...which because of the skins/vick factor get tied into the eagles
my big concern is the overrun for this game running into the phils. cant the bills just blow them out so we can move to the next game with issue.

wow thats horrible...id be so mad if i was them...not that to many people care about the panthers but when i was down there last year at the bar watching the eagles i was shootin the shtein with some people and they all told me that carolina is the number one team down there with the skins a close second....id be pissed if i lived in north carolina and couldnt get my home state team...especially since they have an eastern carolina fox affiliate that broadcasts there...its not like they only get norfolk stations
its probably the old people
all the old timers were with the skins and didnt jump off when the panthers were born. maybe in 10-15 years that area is more heavily panthers. either way farg them. i hope it falls into the atlantic.
I can't believe the Eagles are favored ???
I would gladly take 12 more losses if the Phillies win the Series.

Yes, a reason to watch/care! (aka rooting for Vick to suffer a career-ending injury so Randall gets to hold the record?)
I can't see how anyone would want the birds to win anymore games.....seems the "Get rid of Reid" sentiment is really starting to gain traction. I'd like to see him gone during the season.
That would be great news to wake up to one Monday morning.

big picture i agree.....but its impossible for me to not want then to win every week as the games approaches and then especially as its taking place
altho i would take them losing out this year to get andrew luck
I used to be the same way, by game time, I'd be rooting for them again. At this point though, I look at these guys on this team, and they are a reflection of Reid and Co's smugness and ignorance. The only way to fix it is to flush it all away. It's never going to turn around with him here, period.
I think that sentiment is a bit harsh. Really, the complete lack of LBs and S, and the zesty OL are the only problem. The skill guys on offense are solid, the corners and DL are fine. A real coach could make a team out of this with a few free agents.
"Here's what I know about the city of Philadelphia, the fans, our owner," Castillo said. "We're going to win. We're going to turn this around.
"We have the answers, and then when we win, I know they'll understand."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Remember, we are in Week 4," Castillo said. (Actually, it's Week 5, but as they said in "Animal House," don't stop him, he's on a roll). "The team that wins the Super Bowl is the hottest come December and January. Remember that when I say that."
this guy for reals?
this is a guy who has no idea what he's doing but thinks if he exudes extreme amounts of confidence it will keep the mob at bay.
it's not working.
nfl network was breaking shtein down on tape last night with this defense and man did it look bad. not that we needed tape to see it, but it means a hell of a lot more when you do see it on film.
watching guys getting taken out of plays was embarrassing to watch. they focused on the LB's and safties and you can plainly see the footwork and reaction time on these guys is just horrendous. then when you add the tackling aspect too, forget it. it has nothing to do with putting guys in a "better position", this is all talent.
all that said they will still win this game in buffalo--because as bad as I think the eagles d is--I still think they are better than buffalo.
I couldn't have watched that for more than a couple seconds before vomiting.
And Castillo - come on man. You can be hot in December, sure. But if you enter the month four games under farging .500 it doesn't matter if you win out.
thing is even if they happen to be hot in december it will be because the offense is killin people and has fixed their red zone issues....it wont ever be because of juanys unit

Yep. Right now, I watch the games.....probably because I'm programmed to, but I don't think I could be any more disinterested in them than I am right now. I basically just watch the offense because they are/can be exciting and when the defense takes the field, I look at all the cleaning supplies under my kitchen sink and wonder which one would taste the best.

This D can't make a textbook tackle, much less cover anyone or be in the right place. The most basic thing about playing defense is tackling and this D is about the worst I've ever seen at doing it. What the farg good is it to "be in a better position" if you can't tackle when you get there?
Well, if they are in a better position on passing plays, they may not have to do that whole tackling thing. Could be of some help fore shore.

Eagles inactives: Kafka, Jarrett, Marsh, Cole, DeVan, Peters and Vandervelde. Dunlap starts for Peters. Watkins starts for DeVan. Tapp starts for Cole
Hope Vick has his life insurance premiums up to date.
If it were any other team I'd have confidence in the coaches leaving a TE next to the LT to help out or having a RB chip block but knowing Reid he'll leave Dunlap out there on an island by himself.

Mccoy is great and all but sometimes he needs to take the hole and not try to cut everything back. There were yards there for him to take.
Wow, bad spot benefits the Eagles. Gailey challenging and I think he'll win.
No way that was a first down he was way too short.

So whenever teams want to run the ball against the Eagles, they should just tell the refs so the ball can automatically be spotted 20 yds down field.
LOL @ calling a timeout on defense. They've had all week to prep, nothing can be said in the next minute that's going to make a difference.
Wow, Fred Jackson is raping the defense. Who woulda predicted that?
The Eagles are allowing 140 yards per game on the ground, which is 3rd most in the NFL. The surprising part there is there are actually 2 teams that are worse.
Great tackling display there

Yeah, especially when you consider the expectations going in to the season. 98 was going to suck and everyone knew it but there was a lot of young talent and players entering their prime....Dawk, Trotter, Taylor, Vincent, Tra, Duce, etc.
The real disappointment with this team is the offense. They should be building off of last year and they aren't. They are regressing. Too many mistakes, very few big plays, just all around bad.
I was just waiting for that ball to pop out of Vick's hands

they had like 10 seconds and 0 timeouts from the 5...donovan throws it to a covered lj smith and hes tackled at the 2. no fg. in a situation where he had to go into the end zone he goes to the 2. typical 5.
6 years later it doesnt make a difference they are still a farging dumbass team with a farging fat dumbass coach

good lord what the farg was that....this team is a god damn joke
Some serious learning disabilities on this team.
The game sucks.
The announcers suck.
This team sucks.
Andy Reid sucks.
And I suck for watching it.
I have lesson plans to make. School sucks, too.
And so do you, mother fargers.
Ahahaha protected by the ref on a dumb onside kick call
And it doesn't matter because Fred Jackson tears it up again
Get a farging stop. For the love of god.
Yeah of course. They give up farging first downs easier than a whore gives blowjobs
whores just dont give up blowjobs, you have to pay oh i see what you did there
Awful. Heartless cowards.
The Eagles' defense only has three problems:
1. They aren't fast.
2. They aren't strong.
3. They aren't smart.
I miss the days of Mark Simmoneau.

only if he can do it right back to andy and marty
this game was lost when vick only grew to be 5-10...if ive said it once ive said it a milion times a qb his height will never win in this league......he literally cant see over the front seven of the defense....and it doesnt help that his throwing motion is not over the top but sidearm.....
oh it also doesnt help that andy refuses to move him around the pocket....the reason vick isnt a pocket qb isnt because he runs or cant throw the ball its because hes so farging small....but andy constantly has him in five step drops...at minimum he needs a seven step drop and he really should be moved out of the pocket like every other play
Hey commish, can we have a moment of silence for this piece of shtein?
Wow. Who gives a shtein, they scored.
Billick: "still waiting for the signal" 20 seconds after the camera clearly shows the ref signaling touchdown.
Nice to see a player I dislike surpass the rushing record of the qb that played a pivotal role in my being an eagles fan.

Goddamn penalty after a farging stop.
farg you
What else can go wrong? Wtf was that assumwipe?
I don't know about you guys, but I am really looking forward to the post game presser. I am sure Cap'n Andy will have some answers.
50 consecutive drives inside the redzone they've allowed points
About to be 51
A stop!
FG try coming up!!
I feel like I should celebrate
how embarrassing is it that the bills think so ittle of the eagles that they ran the ball there
im sure joe banner will fix this
Errands
That botched FG at the end of the half is going to haunt them.
Watch.
stunned that reid refuses to max protect knowing every team blitzes every single down.
couple that with the bunched receiver set blows. all it does is allow the blitz to be even more effective for a qb that cant read them. spread the farging receivers--you have the weapons, methodically move the ball with some quick stop routes, out routes and slants--kind of exactly what fitzpatrick is doing.
d. jackson is farging invisible--again
edit--ha
I can't stop watching. Like a trainwreck in slow motion. Anything less that firings after this is a slap in the face.
That is small compared to the rest of the shtein that has gone wrong this game.
Pimp has one of the most ridiculous bursts I ever seen. It always makes my jaw drop.
it makes my jaw drop that he waits for the 4th quarter down by 20 points to catch a ball

Does Jenkins really have 6 sacks on the year?
Well color me shocked - they got a stop. Castillo must have a boner

LOLOLOLOLOL back to back 10 yd penalties.

Between the end of the half debacle and the called back TD they've left 7 points out there
Should be tied
when all is said and done to me this season will ultimately be summed up by that fitzpatrick audible run at the end of the half
Ok let's do this Esse, uh I mean Juan.
you dont like the wide nine? its so effective though.

Sad part is how disinterested I am. After the Falcons game I wanted to choke someone out. Giants game made me depressed. Niners was morbidly amusing. Now I don't even really care.
Hatred for Eagles = Hatred for Bums
I don't think I can give a shtein at all about this season now, maybe if they go 1-15 or 3-13 Reid finally loses his job. But what most likely will happen is that they will go 7-9 and get a mid-round pick and draft a player no one else would there.

Good shtein. Thanks FF.
Cheering myself up by watching the Steve Bartman ESPN 30 for 30.
LOL @ Mike Quick "Well I knew that."
i would say 1 of Vick's 4 interceptions were his fault, the pick six. even that one though he couldn't step up into the pocket because retarded kelce ran across the field to pick up a blitzer that shady already had.
Agreed. I have very few complaints with Vick. The receivers (Maclin and now Avant) have made key late game mistakes, not him. And the defense... LOL at them.
other than his four turnovers i have no complaints either
break it down anyway you want but when vick plays its a guarantee he will have at least two turnovers
oh and the hideous pass on the screen was definitely also his fault....because hes a farging smurf
People are acting like a pick 6 is ok to do. The lines fault or not-there wasn't a receiver in sight. That shtein costs games.
It was a Ryan Leaf pass at best.
i didn't realize that he got shorter over night.
don't call plays with 3 different fakes that requires him to jump over the defensive line to complete it

i just said that you can blame him for that...what part of that is saying it's ok?
When I saw that you backed it up by poor line play it gave the impression that we shouldnt be blaming Vick at all for this loss.
Int's like that when nobody is in sight is a brain fart where be thought he saw one of his teammates-just like when he runs with the ball like its a loaf of bread and gets it steipped. It's just one of many inexcusable TO's by him.
well he was hit by a free blitzer when he threw it, so he couldn't step into the throw. but regardless it was a terrible decision.
i cant decide if vick is really dumb or hes just so talented he always thinks he can make a play but either way he ofte plays really stupid
I think you know the answer.
I mean when you know you have been stripped 162 times in your career, does anything click in your brain that you should have the presence to cover the ball up before you're about to get hit?
Also look no further to his call outs, audibles and checks at the LOS. Thats right there is none. The guy is as exciting and dumb as it gets.
Vick needs a coach who can show him direction. He had that through the first part of last season. Then they said farg it and let him do whatever he wants. That's fine because a player like him needs to be able to free lance from time to time but at the end of the day he has to come back to something that keeps him playing within the system. It's not all his fault because he has to adlib so much with this O-line but you can't just set a guy like him loose and let him do what he wants.
i think my favorite awful defensive play from yesterday was ryan fitzpatrick qb sneaking for 7 yards on 3rd down. nobody in the middle of the field, lol.
wide 9 FTW on that play?

Boastful Bills knew exactly how to beat the Birds
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. – The Bills were ready for the Eagles. And they had no problem telling everyone just how ready they were.
In fact, they bragged about it.
The Bills had prepared for the Eagles' wide nine scheme.
They didn't bother testing the Eagles' highly-touted secondary. Using shovel passes and screen passes, Ryan Fitzpatrick completed 21 of 27 passes for a whopping 193 yards.
That's barely a half of work for Michael Vick.
"It was something we wanted to take advantage of with them being in that wide nine," running back Fred Jackson said of the shovel pass. "Hats off to our coaches' scouting. They see things like that."
They saw it so much that they tried something new.
"We hadn't run the shovel pass all year, and we put it in there, so we really worked on it," Jackson said. "It was something we thought we could take advantage of."
Jackson led the Bills with six catches for 85 yards – 49 coming on one screen pass. Teams throw screens to exploit a pumped-up pass rush.
"Again, wide nines," Jackson said. "They like to get upfield, and we knew as long as we could get that nine upfield, we could get under him and be able to spring off it."
Naturally, the Bills also capitalized on the Eagles' ragged run defense, which entered Sunday ranked 30th in the league. Jackson rushed 26 times for 111 yards (4.3 per attempt) and a touchdown.
"I mean, who didn't know we were going to run the ball?" receiver Stevie Johnson said. "They've been exposed in the run game the entire season."
Wow.
What's more, the Bills believed they were the tougher team.
"I think we thought we'd be able to out[play them] physically," Fitzpatrick said.
"We felt our offensive line could move them off the ball," Jackson said, "and they took that challenge to heart, and they were able to go out and move them off he ball and get beyond the safety every time."
The Bills also were ready to take the ball from the Eagles, who entered the game tied for 30th in the league with a minus-6 takeaway-giveaway differential and one of only six teams with double-digit turnovers.
The Bills entered the game first in the league in interceptions with eight and tied for second in takeaways with 11.
So, not surprisingly, they recorded five more Sunday.
Linebacker Nick Barnett, who with two picks recorded the first multi-interception game of his nine-year career, knew the Eagles were ripe for the picking.
"A couple of guys have been loose with the ball," Barnett said. "Carrying it around, hanging it out, trying to make big plays. All week we've been focusing on trying to rip that ball out and trying to cause turnovers and things like that. It paid off."
The Bills are calling the Eagles D a bunch of bitches and they're right.
Not only that, the Bills coaches just plain out coached Reid and co.
Quote"It was something we wanted to take advantage of with them being in that wide nine," running back Fred Jackson said of the shovel pass. "Hats off to our coaches' scouting. They see things like that." They saw it so much that they tried something new. "We hadn't run the shovel pass all year, and we put it in there, so we really worked on it," Jackson said. "It was something we thought we could take advantage of."
Friggen' shovel pass, when you think about it, it's the perfect weapon against the Eagles pillsbury dough boy middle defense.
Everything other than launching bombs downfield is the perfect weapon against this D.
