This makes me wish every day was Super Bowl Sunday.
Go fist yourself, Sailor.
Go Packers.
i dont give a farg as long as my numbers hit
btw i somehow collected more money than i was supposed to for the office pool (should be about 10-15 bucks)
do i pay everyone out extra cash included (instead of 10% of 500 being 50 itll be like 53) or keep the extra cash and use it on a tranny mexican hooker?
a Jew has to ask?
when the matchup was set i was thinking how great the two fanbases are and that it could be a nice split for the game but damn if there arent way more steeler fans there
Could it be just a matter of numbers? I think there are just fewer Green Bay fans who can spend the kind of money it takes to go to the Super Bowl. It's a city of what, 100k? Pittsburgh is three times larger.
Both teams have a ton of fans that live in other places than Wis/Pitt but adopted them because of whatever reason. But the Steelers and the Cowboys have - by far - the biggest bandwagon following. And when I say bandwagon, I mean more of people who have never been to Dallas or Pittsburgh but root for the Cowboys and Steelers because of their success. The Steelers are the ultimate 'MA' team, sure they have a hardcore fanbase, but their casual fans are everywhere in every city.
I disagree with you on many of those points, sir.

yea i think thats it...not the money part because fans are going to spend money to go to the superbowl no matter what but the numbers part...and i dont think it has to do with the repsective city populations but the fact that the steelers are a much bigger nationwide fanbase...which makes total sense since they have won a million superbowls
seems like the moral of this story is that im an idiot
What time and channel is this thing on anyway?
And by 'time,' I mean, actual kickoff, not when Debbie Gibson and Billy Ray Cyrus do their routines.
6:30ish?
i am so pumped for the o'reilly/obama interview
i hope they talk about the tides and the moon
has anything ever been more scripted?
fox is such a travesty. everything about their coverage is horrible and that especially includes curt menefee
yeah but their audience is MA and they are eatin it all up...how man dens and living rooms in places like butte and cedar rapids are full of straight giggles today
is MA too stupid to notice their entire show is essentially a commercial?
and the sickening thing is they never offer bonus coverage. they make a shteinload off having the at&t postgame show and since rupert owns part of directv....they subliminally refuse to show bonus coverage to get everyone to buy sunday ticket.
the whole thing is sick
Love Obama not letting Bill just tell his lies and move on like he usually does.
i wish all men still werent created equal and donovan was a slave
farg the Superbowl when the Eagles aren't in it.
i admitedly wasnt going to watch it before i got drunk but this is one of the best superbowls ever
Yeah...great game so far!
Anyone else notice Christina Aguilera missed a verse singing the national anthem
i don think she missed a verse but she definitely mixed up a couple words
Could be over soon
f this game, lets talk about Aguilera looking like a tranny
Not only is Chris Kemoeatu a dirty s.o.b. he's a zesty pass blocker.
Big Ben meet Cutler.
Not so fast.

Hard to imagine the Eagles were in a position to beat this team.
rodgers arm is ridiculous

That's exactly what my father and I were just saying. Still didn't see the birds getting past Chicago as Vick would been dead by halftime.

He's an amazing player. Awesome arm, mobile. Hes gonna be the best qb in the nfl for the next decade.
Chevy cruze awful jesus
with the steelers getting the ball second half we might have a game....really weird that the team losing by 11 at half seems like its winning

Except the pack gets the ball first. Otherwise you're spot on
Thought gb was gettin the ball
PS. Do we really need cars giving us facebook updates? WTF?
anyone know who's playing the halftime show

Ok, who wants to explain the Black Eye Peas to my 90 year old father? He is so confused.
But he knows who Slash is! Yea papa!
Everyone knows who Slash is because Slash is the man.
gotta say that was "visually" the best SB halftime show ever
not to mention they had some kind of house jam intro there at the end before the start of "I got a feeling" that was pretty knockin
few know this but before they got corny and awful black eyed peas started out as a really good underground rap group called the atbann clan...eazy e signed them
heres one of their best songs
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fm-OD3ChoFc
That halftime show was so ungodly awful, I had to mute it. It looked great after that.

I am hoping we get one more Hyundai commercial.
Eagles defense on the field?
told you sarge pittsburgh would score at the start of the half to make it a game
Stating the obvious here but Woodson is a huge loss.
Pack gonna be hurting with the losses in the secondary.
who the hell is frank zombo
and bad call by tomlin to kick there
wow what a great commercial
Terrible call. Punt the ball, pin um deep. Suisham or what ever his name is way to unreliable.
I've only watched a dozen plays or so, but from what I see the refs are letting the Packers get away with an awful lot of things that should be called. Intentional grounding, hitting a defenseless receiver, etc.
the last three minutes of clock has taken a half hour to play
why is gb throwin the ball so much
cant ask for much more from this super bowl.....damn.
Sharp option play on the 2pt conversion. Very well thought out.

for real....what a great game
thats a HOF throw
We've been pretty damn lucky the last 15 years with some great Super Bowls. For a time there the game was an absolute bore.
Third and goal. this will decide it.
Steelers are going to win another.
how typical that Roth has 2 minutes to win this game
Steelers with one timeout. Go Andy!
Steelers odds here? 40%?

I thought god, I mean Joe Buck said they already used two.
how do you take a pf with two minutes left in the superbowl
and there is your Kim Kardashian ad. lol
looking at Clay Matthews here
Not the closest finish ever, but damn enjoyable.
No PI. Quit whining.
Okay, it's the off-season. Get Asamough (sp?)
fifty first champion since the birds have won....unless you count andy reids numerous playoff wins
tomorrow is going to be a great day to be a steeler hater in pittsburgh
not sure how a steeler hater could ever be happy....they have a million superbowls
and its not even like their fans will be that upset...they arent the kind to be devastated by a loss....they are the kind that gets off on winning
I won the office pool I organized. And I'm pooping right now.
Great super bowl
yeah no one lost bets tonight....duh....

im saving $ to bet on the oscars which will now include the 350 i won tonight
yeah we all won tons of money
so so so happy to see the game end the way it did.
The best part about the Superbowl is that its over and the Eagles can gear up to not go to the next one next season.
Yay being an Eagles fan.
P.S.
I did have a vision of Vick hoisting up the Lombardy Trophy and D-Jax being the Superbowl MVP.
Funny, I had visions of Matthews breaking Vick's back and DeSean dropping the ball because it was getting in the way of celebrating his would-be score.
surprised igy didn't mention we now have 3 consecutive champions that knocked a Philly team out on the road on their way to winning a title
@NFLprguy The 400 fans w/out seats last nite went on field postgame, received free merchandise, $2,400, free SB46 tix
who are the three teams?
new orleans knocked the eagles out?
or you mean the lakers beat the sixers?
eddys other website is going downhill.
Blackhawks and Giants
didnt the lakers win after the hawks?
whatever....3 of 4 then
Won 50 bucks on the box pool. Meh. Drank for free, though, which is nice.
111 million for the game
most watched tv program ever, 5 million more than last year
but i guess when you need to have a lockout and/or strike, thats just something you gotta do

Most of my buddies that are Steelers fans would disagree.
people that are used to winning all the time and having every single little thing break for them cant usually handle when things go wrong
if the steelers suddenly became the eagles 90% of the bandwagon fans would be OUT

yeah sorry you didnt win your seventh superbowl...if any steeler fan is overly upset because of that loss the other day then they are just feinging anger to up their fandom...and i dont mean during the game as it was happeneing...i mean 24 or 48 hours later
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2011/02/07/AR2011020705610.html
I like this.
You want to cut spending in the government...how about $450,000 of your money to fly Navy F-18s over the closed roof of the super bowl?
Cut the military.
I agree. If they want to do the flyover, that's fine but the NFL should be the ones footing the bill for the fuel rather than the taxpayers.
Ehhh, they would probably be out in those things joy riding anyway
One of those guys that "never missed a Super Bowl" missed this Super Bowl and died (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=6121169)
For some reason, that makes me laugh.
stop it...no it doesn't.
It did. I laughed. Maybe it was the way Ed phrased his post but I gave a chortle.
i laughed too...so what
don't be so damn cocky next time
The guy who bragged about the specifics of what he's missed should be next. Would be just desserts if one of his adopted kids offed him.
he actually missed an adoption meeting to go the super bowl and adopted other kids instead
im wonder what the kids who were going to have a family but never did think of him
they likely hold him in about the same regard as all my billions wasted sperm hold me.
