Typing 'Texans' just reminded me how awful that name is.
Anyways, short week and pe.com is reporting Samuel is back at practice.
Two good/great offenses, a horrible defense, and a not so good defense should make for a shootout. The one thing I like is the Texans seem to find ways to lose
over/under should about 100.
is Andre Johnson gonna play?
Yes, surprisingly he didn't get suspended
the birds are an 8-pt favorite, O/U 50

Thanks, I'm out of the loop. But I have an excuse that will please you: Today, my ditch digging skills were applied to a septic tank problem, and involved me getting shtein on myself.
That's some bad news. Can the Eagles borrow Revis Island for a game?
I just am baffled by there being no suspension...and ESPECIALLY the $25k fine.
Yet Asante got initially $50k for his shoulder led hit.
farg the NFL sometimes. Really.
They should have suspended Finnegan for getting his ass so badly beat on live television. Johnson had enough of that.
Settling your problems with fisticuffs is the gentlemanly way to handle things. Your inferior female mind won't be able to understand that, what with all that room taken up by recipes and knowledge on giving birth. Just understand that this is the sort of behavior the NFL wishes to encourage, especially in children.
I literally can't get over the fact that players get fined huge amounts for hitting each other in a game where every single play ends with someone getting hit hard enough to knock them to the ground. Hitting is legal but some hits result in fines and suspension.
Meanwhile, two players get into a fist-fight and tear each others' helmets off, whichis explicitly illegal in every way, and it elicits tiny fines and no suspension.
This league is farging ridiculous.
According to radio chatter today....Finnegan is a 1st Class A-Hole and deserves to be shot and is not a first time offender. Andre Johnson is a supposed sweetheart and is what probably led to the league exercising mercy on his wallet.
In that case, I'm totally cool with aggravated assault on the field.

I agree that Finnegan is a douche. But Johnson took the bait and deserves the fine to match.

How many Americans would pay $25k to so thoroughly smack down a punk on live television as Johnson did to Finnegan? Millions. People would save money to be able to do that. He's a hero.

Andre Johnson is going to make Kenny Britt's day against the Eagles look unimpressive. I'm not even sure if the Eagles secondary has anyone capable of tackling him, let alone covering him.

Plus the defense will have to contend with the NFL's leading rusher, in both yards and touchdowns
Andre Johnson is the best WR in the NFL and isn't one of the diva's so to see him completely lose his shtein and thump Finnegan was awesome.
That being said...I hope Boy Wonder DC decides to let Asante trail him all over the field. But he won't. And I bet Brandon Graham will end up in coverage against him.

I'm going to the Rhino bar down here to watch the Eagles...
but you aren't intrigued to watch the crowd's reaction to Lebron???

It really is a struggle listening to them.
I actually like Papa a lot. He offers very nice insight on Sirius NFL radio. Its a shame he got grouped with those two chimps.
farg your farging mother harbor
Damn. Phreak in the first play of the game losing the cool.
lol
Everytime I hear Harbor's name its in conjunction with a penalty or a two yard catch
Why in the hell are they handing the ball to Chad Hall? Where's Harrison?
Wow. A Celek sighting this early in the game???
Chad Hall
in the wildcat
at the goal line
TD SHADYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!
Who is Chad Hall?
Not getting the Chad Hall stuff. I like the kid and all, think he can provide some type of role, but having him get the ball at the expense of Harrison at this point in the game is puzzling at a minimum.
Yea what was that. And was it me or was the right side of the hou line empty?
Either way, good start.
Patterson wanted no parts of Leach there. Can't blame him....
Good tackle by the HOU safety there. One on one in open field against shady has not turned out good for defenders usually this year
There is no reason the Eagles shouldn't hand the ball off every down from now on until the Texans prove they can stop it. Just chunk after chunk. Shady is going to be ridiculous for years.....
Houstons defense is softer than my cork
Yeah. I heard all the stuff about how piss poor they were, but they look like a JV team. McGlynn and MJG look like pro-bowlers against their tackles thus far.
An interesting stat thus far too, the Eagles have had the ball four times longer than the Texans at this point: TOP Eagles: 12:29, Texans 3:01.
Without Ryans, their D is pretty much Mario Williams, and so far Peters has shut him down
Houston's D is good.
This is laughable. Peters is completely dominating Super Mario to this point without help.

Witnessing a meltdown. If they lose this game, I don't see how McDermott isn't fired.

This team, offense and defense, are some frontrunning bitches. Get out to a lead, and start joking and farging patting each other on the back. Then they can't flip the switch again when these teams fight back into the game. farging horrible every way around.
Refs are having an all time bad game missing penalties on both sides. There's been at least 3 missed penalties they could have called on Philly and they aren't calling anything all game on Houston despite holding off the edge every time.
I haven't been as critical of McDermott as some, but I don't see how he can survive this year coaching one of the worst redzone D's in NFL history.
I feel like Vick is purposely going to Celek in this game so as not to seem racist
Trevor Laws got absolutely handled by Eric Winston on that last Foster TD. Just embarrassing, Winston just pushed him over and laid on him. Foster went right in through the void.
oh look everything's OK again
Big drive by the offense. D needs to make a couple stops now
I have ZERO confidence in this defense.
Whenever the D gets a stop, I feel like it's an accident and that the O had to have farged something up.
Making it 2 scores here would be nice.
I didn't think we'd ever see a back in Philly as good on the screen passes as Westbrook, but Shady is sick
what is this form of play in which the ball is not conveyed through the air?
Westbrook was much better with patterns, but Shady I think is even better in space, which is scary.
here we go again with the red zone shtein

Andy Reid is a clock management retard.
Whatever that play was supposed to be was an idiotic call and terribly executed also.
Yeah. If that was a one score game, I like the call since it was a designed screen. You have to feel like that is completed 85% of the time and it's the best chance at a first down. Up 2 scores, just run the clock please.
Good things happen when you send Nate Allen on a blitz.
Nate Allen with the huge play.
lol what a great way to end the game. I get an extra 4 points out of Andre Johnson and then Houston turns it over to end it. Good all round :yay
Yes! A miracle. Thanks, Nate Allen
Meh....that wasn't that bad if they get a first there from throwing he is a genius. With no timeouts you have to hope the defense won't give up 10pts even with 3 minutes left.

McNabb is a punk ass bitch compared to Vick. Can anyone ask for anything more from their qb? I don't think so.
If McNabb was the QB of this team, there is no way the team comes back when blowing a lead like that. Would've been over.
The offense is status quo scoring 27-35 a week with the dropped pass that could have given them more. Defense needs to improve though. The pass rush especially. I understand it often takes rookie DEs a while to find their groove, but Graham, the team needs you.
Vick : "I love games like this. Getting knocked around a few times and you have to come back. This is what drives me."

And that would only be payback for the non-call when Andre Johnson threw Patterson 5 yards

Reid and the Eagles are in the process of asking the league why they protect QBs but not Vick.

Was working Thursday night so I had to dvr the game and finally got to watch last night.
These dropped passes in the end zone have got to stop. Vick could have been a little more accurate on the one for Celek but Celek needs to lay out for that one. Speaking of Celek, it's about time he made an appearance. Couple of catches and his 3rd down conversion in the 4th qtr was big.
Oline play is getting better as the year goes on. They gave Vick some solid protection and Peters has been playing the last month or so like the player we were hoping for.
Red Zone offense was much better this week than the last few games. Settling for a FG off the Laws int was bad though. Turning turnovers into points is good, unless your starting position in inside the 20. Gotta walk away with 6 there.
Reid passing on 3rd and 11 in the 4th qtr was typical Reid. Houston only has one time out left so rather than run the ball and make them use it, he lets them save it for when they are on offense. I heard a lot of people bitching on the radio for the last 2 days about how Shady only had 12 carries, but I didn't have a problem with that.....when you're facing the 31st ranked pass defense in the league, you should throw all day on them. At the same time though, you still gotta make smart play calls late in the game. This was one of those games where the amount of carries wasnt as important as the timing of those carries. Reid had over 3 and a half quarters to air it out....gotta run the clock out there.
Red zone defense is terrible and the 3rd quarter was pathetic. But kudos to boy wonder on a solid 4th quarter that gave the offense a chance to retake the lead and put the game away.
Joe Theisman is the Andy Reid of commentating. He's been doing it for so long you can't help but wonder why he hasn't fixed himself yet. Christ he sucks something hard. Kudos to Millen for punking him a couple times during the broadcast.

Just a random thought here, but is it possible that Celek needs some Ricky Vaughn correctional lenses? Brent straight up whiffed on this pass when the ball was about a foot in front of him. I know it is wishful thinking that all the starting TE needs is some Lasik, but damn, can he even see the ball?
